1. It’s only me. Two ways to understand it. It can mean that he is lonely, and it can also mean the way they talk about it in the story that’s it is only him that has those problems. Problems like bully, drugs, bad childhood and neglect from his parents. He might think it is only him who got those problems but it isn’t. 2. First we hear about an 11-year old boy that threatened to kill the girl he liked and the boy who kissed her which is jealousy. Jealousy is very often the reason for murder. He told the police that he was just joking. Another 11-year old threatened to shoot his teachers tape player, and then the teacher. He didn’t like the music. Elizabeth Bush, who wanted to become a human rights activist or a nun, shot the head-cheerleader in the cafeteria. She did it to prove the other that she could do it. 3. One reason could be that the parents think that their children wouldn’t do such a horrible thing. The parents often choose to overlook the problems, and look the other way. The parents often don’t know when the children got problems. The school doesn’t notify the parents if anything is wrong. 4. I do agree with the statement. When an accident happens, and a plane crashes it can shock all people. They feel scared of flying. It is the same with school shootings. They are very rare, but when it happens it will scare many people. 5. They are mentioned, because they were the ones who made the most famous school shooting. They also gave the students the shorthand “Are you going to pull a Columbine” 6. The awful shorthand they have given the kids is. “Are you going to pull a Columbine” 7. When he first have started his massacre he is very hard to stop again. It is just like a moving target. 8. The society has many different cultures, and many people are racsists. So maybe people got more and more hostile against each other. 9. It seems like the writer has sympathy for him. It seems more like that the writer blames the society and most of all the parents. If the parents don't look after their children, and if they don't teach their children how to act around people. The parents also need to help their children if they are in any troubles, like if the parents are getting suspicious that the children are getting bullied.

10. One of the messages of this story could bet that as parents especially in USA have to talk with the children and care about them. The children need a good childhood. But the schools also have a responsibility. They need to take care of the children, and make sure no one is getting bullied. But the message is also, that you can’t blame only the parents, the school, the person who did or the society. All have to take some kind of responsibility and prevent horrible things like these to happen.

11. The title is very relevant. The sentence “It’s only me” is used in two ways. Charles used it in the bathroom, as an express. But the story looks at the followers and gives the sentence a new meaning. Because it’s not only Charles who is “pulling a Columbine” but children all over USA.

12. I don’t have the imagination to find a good title for this.

13. Their motive is that they are getting bullied and sometimes also have parents who neglect them. But the article doesn’t come with an directly solution for this, but it gives us some details, so we get some inspiration for solutions ourselves.
