...Social Media Barriers Kevin Robinson ITT Technical Institute Social Media Barriers After during research on social media there is several websites that talks about social media barriers whether it is talking about using social media for networking for jobs or to the simple chat room social media. In today’s society without social media people consider you to be an odd ball person, especially when you tell people you do not have a face book page. Today’s society is control by social media. With that being said everything has it’s up and downs. When using social media there are barriers to operating it. Like for instant, when you make a mistake offline, a few will know but when you make a mistake in front of hundreds or thousands of you online audience, most of them will know. Social media can have a negative influence on worker productivity. Employees may waste valuable time using social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter. They can also use social media to attack the company’s reputation. 5. When social media is used excessively or in the wrong way, it could have serious detrimental outcomes on both mental and even physical health of individuals. In this next paragraph I have research some companies online that has been very successful with social media. The first company is Martell Home Builders. ...Electronic Paper Jason C ITT Technical Institute I decided to my research paper of new technology in my field on Electronic Paper. Electronic paper is one of many new technologies that are being developed in today’s new technology world. Everything is getting smaller and lighter weight and more mobile. The concept behind electronic paper is sheets of thin material that are the size of a sheet of paper, which can display a newspaper article, a book, or magazine and then be updated to new material at the click of a button. Although it sounds like a lot of the e-reader device technologies that are already on the market now, the difference in this technology is that the paper will be lightweight, flexible and require a lot less power to operate then today’s modern devices. The main concept of the electronic paper is to have billions of balls, each measuring one-tenth of a millimeter and have them sandwiched between sheets of clear flexible plastic with ultra-thin transistors to direct the balls in to the words or pictures needed. Each of the two companies involved, Xerox Palo Alto Research Center on the West Coast of California, and on the East Coast is eInk found by a professor and two students from Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab, have their own different designs on how the balls will actually form the words or an image of what you are reading. As of now the electronic paper designs can only show black and white, although both companies are working...

Austin TX September 17, 2014 Dear Ms. Price I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Mitchell Dickerson and I am a retired U.S Army solider from the Fort Hood area. The reason I enrolled at ITT is “ I as working for L-3 Communication in Djibouti Africa as a field service engineer until I was laid off. I have not worked in over a year and I saw the ITT commercial on TV and decided that it would help me to find employment and also receive a degree”. I was enrolled at ITT when I lived in Charlotte NC, but I had to drop out to pursue employment. I have attended Central Texas College while I was in the military, but that did not last long for I was deployed to Iraq so I had to let that go for a while. My strengths are that I am loyal and trustworthy I am a type of person that will get the job done. My weakness is that I am maybe too good of a person I am kind hearted but I am no push over. English is not my best subject but I am the one that will try and ask you more question then any one if I do not understand. I the one that is not afraid to ask for help no matter what. With My ITT education I hope to get a well-paying job that will give me the time to do the things in life that I have always wanted to like travel and hang out more with my son. My dream job is to be a network engineer and being able to help...

...EIXERCISE 1.1 Many of today’s Fortune 500 companies employ students with an ITT Technical Institute degree. To me this is reason enough to pursue an education with this Institution. The career markets are constantly changing, gone are the days when you can support a family with only a high school diploma or on-the-job experience. ITT Tech pretty much has all the bells and whistles that I was looking for. Flexible schedule, student to instructor ratio, real world instructors. A degree from Itt Tech, in my opinion is an investment for me that will pay back for a lifetime. Finally, to show my children that it’s never too late. First, I attended Southeast College of Technology in 1999, unfortunately I did not finish. Earning my degree now would fill the void that I left in 1999. To be self-sufficient rather than totally dependent on my Military and VA retirement. At any moment that retirement could be cut in half or taken away altogether. Why take that chance? To set the standard in my home that if I can do it, you can do it, no excuses. Another goal of mine is to be a better provider for my family, both spiritually and financially. Lastly, to walk across that stage with my degree in hand. First goal is not to cheat myself by not coming to class, participate when asked, stay the course. Learn as much as I can, ask for help. Do the necessary things to keep that “A”, do the little things. Finishing this class is a another step towards...

...Courtney Gaylor GS1145 Charles Bozeman January 6, 2015 Most people have no clue as to what they're going to do with their lives and a lot of them do indeed turn out to be software engineers. Most software engineers do their jobs very poorly, many are average and a few are actually good, but everyone has a place in the industry. I am pursuing a degree at ITT Technical Institute in hopes of falling in the category of “actually good”. I feel that what I need to be successful is hands on learning. At ITT I plan to achieve a career, not just to float through life one “job” after another. A goal that I started to attain before leaving high school is developing the ability to see the value in maintaining a positive attitude, regardless of the circumstances. When I include my goal in the curriculum, I have a better understanding on how positive words, positive character traits and positive thinking can impact life immediately now and in the future. Another goal of mine is to be happy. To be happy is the most important thing there is because you only have one life and if you go through it fighting, competing and struggling you have wasted your one life. Being a human on this planet is like winning the lotto and if people would act that way we could all help each other and try to make the time we have not be a waste. I think that's my ultimate goal... I don't know that it's everyone's, if it's THE ultimate goal or even if there is a THE ultimate goal. Also I was thinking that there...

...Unit 1 Assignment 1: It Takes Courage ITT Technical Institute The video I decided to watch was about Joe overcoming his stage fright and what he did to be able to move on from the fear. Joe was a song writer that had so many songs written he just always had a fear of singing them, he would even be paranoid of his roommates hearing him. Finally he decided to try to overcome this and decided to go to a local open mic and sing. On his first try he showed up and saw that there was a lot of people there, at least in his opinion the roughly 20 people was a lot. It got to the point that he was about to perform the fear kicked in but it also made his adrenaline kick in, he could feel his heart rate increasing and his breathing got faster. He got himself on stage and started to sing and it was horrible and uncomfortable. He could feel the audience was also uncomfortable and felt as if they were focusing on how horrible and uncomfortable he was. Finally he had finished his first singing experience. This is where his persistence and enthusiasm kicked, he felt the smallest feeling of a connection with the audience and he wanted more. He persisted and decided to keep going back every week. Sadly the same fear kicked in every week until finally he started thinking of his audience and embraded his fear. His fear was blocking his progress, so he turned it into a song and used it to connect with his audience so they could feel what he was feeling and over time he stopped singing...

...ITT Tech Group Dynamics – Virtual Library Assignment The nonprofit Partnership for Public Service and The Washington Post's On Leadership site jointly produce the Federal Coach, hosted by Tom Fox, director of the partnership's Center for Government Leadership. The goal is to "engage, inspire and learn from you, the federal worker, whether you are a new hire, a contractor or a manager at the highest level." What kids can teach us about leadership Every Friday during the summer, the author of the article and his wife has a massive pizza party with our neighbors; it's as much for the adults as for the kids. As the author is usually getting home from work; he is not yet in weekend mode so he sits and analyzes the group dynamics of about two dozen kids. As a result, I find myself analyzing the group dynamics among the dozen or so neighborhood kids playing together. You might think that the oldest kids run the group, or perhaps the most vocal and outgoing kids are the leaders. In reality, a different leader surfaces weekly, and the author realized that there may be something to learn about leadership from these kids. Given that much of leadership in government is peer leadership and more than command-and-control, here are some lessons learned on how to best lead your peers. First off, one of the kids usually steps up to take responsibility for coming up with ideas among the group. According to the author, to see a group of kids, all younger than 10, facilitate a brainstorm...
