Culture and Values at Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd
Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd’s corporate culture had evolved over the time along with the company. In the initial days, Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd’s leaders were struggling with the problem of how best to manage their multicultural nature. The company had, in fact, already developed set of values that revolved around learning and innovation. However, by 2008, rapid expansion of company workforce and diversity strained the understanding of the culture by the new employees. New employees were not acquainted with the values and way of working of Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd as set by its founder. Think & Learn hit a roadblock and was facing stagnation. This got the founder team to start thinking about consolidating its value system so that it remains the same across the organization. This resulted in a new statement of values stated as “Learning with Innovation, Inspiration and Integrity”.
Before 2008:
The ultimate source of organizational culture is the people who make up the organization. The founder of an organization has a substantial influence on the organization’s initial culture because of his or her personal values and beliefs. The founder of Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd also has a deep influence on the culture that prevailed in the organization since its inception. Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd was established in 2005 by Byju Ravindranan with a groundbreaking vision to provide education for a lifetime with teaching skills that gives students crucial competitive advantage over others in different entrance examinations. Founders set the scene for the later development of a culture because they not only establish the new organization’s values but also hire its first members.
When asked about the company’s initial vision and values Byju replied:
