In his essay, entitled “Throwing Like a Girl”, James Fallows makes the point that anyone, regardless of gender, can learn to properly throw a baseball. He describes the proper way to pitch (a fluid twisting motion starting in the lower portion of the body and ending with a flick of the wrist). In comparison, he also describes the improper actions that, stereotypically, many women take in pitching.
