In his book review of Jane Mayer’s book, The Dark Side: The Inside Story of How the War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals, Milton Viorst focuses on part of Mayer’s narrative of the events in the book and how of Vice President Dick Cheney. Viorst’s review focuses on Cheney, as he states Mayer’s argument is one he is not familiar with. He focuses on Cheney and his reaction to the War on Terror, as he refers to it as the “real hub” of the argument.
