Jerry McMurray or Jay is a 25-year-old who is about 6’2 in height. He identifies as a healthy, heterosexual, middle-class, single, and nonreligious Caucasian male. Jay grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina with both his parents and his younger brother. Although, Jay was born and raised in Charlotte both of this parents are from the north. His mother grew in rural central Pennsylvania, and his father from rural southwestern Wisconsin.
Growing up Jay attended public school and then went on to attending a four-year public university, Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He writes T-SQL codes to extract data for safety and operational analysis; he develops and maintains safety metrics. Jay manages special projects that align safety groups to effectively process ways of organizing data and producing reports. Through happenstance he became a safety analyst; however, Jay has a strong connect to his artist side and had dreamed of pursuing a career as a musician.
At a young age, Jay was exposed to music. Both his father and brother play brass instruments and recently his father started playing the guitar. At the age of eight, Jay took piano lessons and later when he expressed interest in drumming, his parents bought him a drum set and lessons. At 19, interested in the guitar, Jay self-taught himself how to play and within the year had bought his first guitar. During his leisure, he writes lyrics and music, he likes to travel to new cities and countries as well as plays a variety of sports from basketball to soccer.
Some of Jay’s important values are creativity with his writing, independence, his happiness, and time to do as he pleases. He is curious about the world, physics, people, and psychology. Jay can grasp complex technical details better than most people as well as a great sense of direction.
