...to children about being caring, hardworking and preserving. This is the teaching guidelines to children while ready something that will keep their mind moving. Jenn showed demonstration of caring in the story "Lazy Lawrence" when it came to what he saw around him. The one person he showed how caring he was, by helping his mother Presto. He was capable to demonstrate his care for her by helping around with her farm. The farm is a very big importance to the family because that is their survival for a daily basis. Now that his mother is older she is not capable to do as much as she's used to because she's now older. On the farm they have live animals such as chickens, cows, horses and others. Also, including fruit and flowers of varieties that she's had over the years and this here teaches children to help those to whom they care for and being a helping to others around them. Hardworking is another demonstration in the story as well. In the story Jenn shows hard work by helping his mother with the land. The duties he had accomplished was weeding the grass, cleaning the live stock of whatever mess the animals had made. Also, running the errands that his mother was longer able to do on a normal basis, with his mother Presto not working much and not having the money pay rent the family has came to danger. Jenn seeing how the family is struggling he goes to get a job and help as much as he can. This shows children that actions affect those around you and yourself for the better...

...What Sociological theories present themselves in the movie American History X? Sociology is defined as the study of human behavior and how society impacts us as individuals and as groups. From that definition you know that the setting of the movie has the biggest impact on how the characters are going to act as individuals and as groups. Groups play a major role in this movie. The topic of Nature and Nurture can also be talked about. I believe that there are only two major theories that pertain to American History X and that is Control theory and Labeling Theory. Everything that occurs in this movie trickles down from Control Theory and Labeling Theory. Let me just describe to you the family, setting and the main character in American History X. Derek, the main character, is a young, intelligent very impressionable young man who is raised in a middle class family in Pasadena, California. Pasadena, California is a beach town that is very diverse in ethnicity and has many gangs. Derek’s father kind of instills racism in his children by telling them that illegal immigrants are coming into America and stealing the white man’s jobs. Now Control Theory comes into play when Derek’s father is murdered. I brought up that Derek is very impressionable because he kind of loses it at this point and starts to blame everything bad that is happening in his life on blacks and anybody that is not white like him. He becomes very deviant. The topic of Nature and Nurture comes into play...

...Milestone 1 Final Sonja Thompson SAS is a business analytics software company that has over fourteen thousand employees. SAS delivers proven solutions that drive innovation and improve performance. While this was likely intended to refer to their products, it refers to their overall company as well. So much so in fact that companies like Google have modeled their own culture after that of SAS. SAS has been on the list of top companies to work for the last thirteen years (Kaplan, 2010). Initially the SAS software was designed to analyze agricultural data but it has grown into a product with practically limitless uses. Retailers can use it to determine everything from pricing to where to put their next location, banks can use it to see what services customers may respond to, even the Census Bureau uses SAS software (Kaplan, 2010). The key to SAS’s success appears to lie with the fact that Goodnight realized early on that the key was in keeping employees happy. Employees like to know that they are valued and that they matter. SAS’s demonstrates this by actively practicing 4 main leadership values. Value people above all else: This was evidenced in 2009, when many other companies had to resort to layoffs to stay afloat. SAS employees became concerned about their own jobs. Goodnight quickly informed them that there would be no layoffs but to please watch their spending. Since employees were relieved of having to worry about job losses, this in turn allowed them to remain...

Although the taste is something that is quite pleasing to the palate I feel that there success can be based on two things specifically. ...doesn’t remember every minor detail. There are details, phone calls, call logs, stories but none of them entirely match up to what is being said. When something matches up it’s usually because they both have one thing that corresponds to the other. Throughout the trial when new evidence would appear contradicting a previous statement made by Jay, they wouldn’t correspond. He always knew what to say so everything he said wasn’t under question. He was always believed even when those believing him were given reason not to, “the lies we were telling to try to protect each other were clouding the truth.”, Jay says to Jenn. We all need to consider that after several acclaims to always being truthful he did get caught in his lies. In episode eight season one of serial, to a detective Jay answer yes that he can take the detective to where the car is parked. The question being asked by Jenn previously was, “ What was your involvement? Were you involved?”, Jay answers no to her. If Jay had no sort of involvement as he claims how and why was it that he knew where the car is parked. The inconsistency of his stories and how much he knows about the entire situation makes it seem as if he might’ve plotted it all out. Without a motive there’s nothing that could’ve been planned, Adnan didn’t have a motive for murder. ...Direct and Indirect Cash Flows Jenn Cobb XACC/290 Cheryl VanNorman August 27, 2014 The statement of cash flows is an important financial statement that reports the cash changes, input and output, during a financial period. The information contained in the statement of cash flows helps both internal and external users to assess the company's ability to generate further cash flows, meet obligations, and explain the difference between net income and net cash provided by operating activities. There are two different ways to present this information on the statement of cash flows either by using the direct method or the indirect method. There are both differences and similarities between the two methods. The direct method is encouraged but not required by the FASB. The direct method is easier to understand. It includes the amounts for cash from customers as well as cash paid to suppliers. This is a much more detailed explanation of cash flows than the indirect method. This method takes more time and is more costly than the indirect method. Some of the information may not be readily available. The information that is included in the direct method is more useful and preferred my internal and external users. The indirect method is not as detailed as the direct method. The indirect method reports the net income. It then makes adjustments for items that do not affect cash flow. It makes the adjustments necessary to convert total net income into the cash from...
