...Anna Prioletti Professor Watts English 102 A24 January 20, 2013 Through the Eyes of Dean Winchester: On the Road and On the Hunt In my favorite TV show, Supernatural, one of the protagonists and my favorite character is Dean Winchester, a certainly very round character. The series begins in Lawrence, Kansas with the demonic death of Dean’s mother Mary. Consequently he, his brother Sam, and his father John are thrust into the world of the supernatural. John becomes obsessed with hunting the evil he encounters and ultimately tracking down the demon that killed Mary. As Dean grows, he learns more and more about hunting, weaponry, and the supernatural creatures that haunt this world. Due to circumstance, he is forced to grow up at an early age as he helps his father and fills the maternal role for Sam. Dean is such a standout and memorable character to me because of his never-failing selflessness, fierce protective nature, and emotionally complex mind. Throughout the show, it is easy to see how selfless Dean is. In his mind, family always comes first no matter the consequences or what may happen to him. Growing up moving from place to place with his hunter father and young brother, Dean learns family is all he has. He and his father had a militaristic relationship in that Dean did whatever he was told and never questioned anything or argued. He put aside any dreams or aspirations he may have had to stick with his dad and help him get revenge while also taking...

...McDonald’s | March 22 2010 | | Project 2 Market analyses | Brief summary SWOT analysis - The fast-food industry is highly influenced by governmental policies, sales rates are grooving even during the recession. The changing lifestyles of consumers to a healthier and quicker one can be seen as both- a threat and opportunity. As a threat- due to a healthier lifestyle McDonald’s as well as other fast food restaurants can lose many consumers. As an opportunity- as people are getting more and more busy due to their work, they do not have enough time to make meals at home, and they choose to eat at fast food restaurants. McDonald’s have good quality of service and promotions, which is also one of the reasons of successful marketing. The main strength is of course their huge brand they built up. On the other hand the strongest weakness is the perception of the customers that look at McDonald’s as a very unhealthy place to eat. Competitive situation – The competitive situation within the fast food industry is very hard. McDonald’s is the leader in this industry, but still it has to deal with big rivalry. There are many other restaurants and other substitute products that consumers can choose. A big variety of the “other possibilities what and where to eat” makes strong buyers power. While in the global market entry barriers are high (due to high expenses to establish a big company), in a more local market, these barriers are much lower because it does not require big...
