The Jeremi lindstrom Memorial Award is given to a student graduating grade twelve from Waterdown District High School who demonstrates independant learn skills, thirst for knowledge, interest in culture and demonstrate a positive attitude, friendly demeanour and respect for others. I like to think that I am all of these qualities and then some. I am able to start a task without being asked repeatedly, and I can take written instructions very well. I also have a high thirst for knowledge and a strong drive to learn. I like to take courses at the high school that are of my interests, more so than my academic needs. It opened me up to a different culture that I had no idea about before. In addition to that, I am also an aspiring journalist, or PR person. With this in mind, keeping my eye on what is going on in the world and try to learn as much as I can. I think I have already demonstrated my interest for literature, but I have many other interests that were on your list. History is one of my favorite subject, which I know for most people it is not. It can be boring and repetitive, but too me I like to see how history can repeat itself. Which leads itself to my interest in sociology, seeing how a society from a thousand years ago functions similar to one today. Along the lines of those two subject, politics is something that I like to keep an eye on so that I can be a well rounded person and as a wannabe journalist, politics is a large field.
