The topic of gay marriage has been discussed numerous, throughout the last couple of generations. The option wether to make gay marriage legal or not has become a real issue, even though the constitution does not specifically say you cannot marry the same sex. This presents a number of problems and a tremendous amount of opposition within the fifty states. I agree with same sex marriage, and I believe that everybody has a right to love the person that makes them most happy. Although I agree, I believe the event of legalizing gay marriages will never work, because our society is too stilted on the idea of marriage. Preventing gay marriage is basically equal to removing human rights. Denying marriage to same sex couples removes from one group a fundamental, important human right, the right to marry the person that they love and to whom one has made a commitment. I believe that It does not affect the average citizen if people involved in same sex relationships are living together, so it should not affect society if their marriage is legalized. The people who are involved in same sex marriage are not looking for special rights, all they ask is to have equal rights marrying the one that they love. There are many articles regarding same sex marraige, some agree to legalize this subject and some diasgree. In one article I found it stated that, three U.S. states and three countries have approved same-sex unions just in the two months since the Supreme Court heard arguments over gay marriage, this raised questions about how the developments might affect the justices’ consideration of the issue. Also, defenders of limiting same sex marriage say the justices not only need to look at the change in marriage laws to see that there is no reason for them to step in and declare a national rule in favor of gay marriage that would upend constitutional bans in 30 states and laws
