ABSTRACT This report is aimed at explaining key areas of my training under the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) undertaken at SWIFT NETWORKS. It gives a brief introduction about Swift Networks, a leading provider of telecommunications and information services. It also gives a good representation of the organizational structure. Considerable effort was made in the explanation of the role of the Network Infrastructure department, bearing in mind the various networking facilities, equipments and relevant applications. Adequate coverage is given to the operations and maintenance training I received, as well as the specific type of work I was engaged in.
The next page explains the purpose, scope and limitation of the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). It also gives an Introduction to the company, SWIFT NETWORKS Limited, including its Background and Objectives.
