Throughout his life, John Dillinger earned the title “Gangster” by committing crimes, breaking out of jail, and evading government apprehension for his whole life. John grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. Even during childhood, Dillinger was often in trouble. He quit school and worked at a toy shop. He quickly became bored and started staying out late at night.
