As a proud member of the Seattle Seahawks 12th man, I've always enjoyed watching the Seahawks compete every game weather they win or lose. During the 2012-2013 season, I must say it felt astounding when they became the Super Bowl champion. In spite of the athletes and coaches that get highly recognize for prevailing to be the Super Bowl champs, I acknowledge John Schneider the most, who is the team general manager, for building a top-notch football team. Schneider's profession is one of the most complex and burdensome career.
Before Schneider was hired as sports general manager, the Seattle Seahawks were an abysmal team. The Seattle Seahawks organization expected Schneider from the get-go to convert the franchise in to a top-notch; also, that …show more content…
Even though education or college degree is important to have, it is more important to have experience. Before John Schneider became a general manager for the Seattle Seahawks, he was a football player. He played for his high school team at Abbot Pennings and he went on to play college for University of St. Thomas. Unfortunately, he had endure a shoulder injury, which forced him to retire from playing football. Even though he was unable to play football, he was still dedicated to have a football life; instead, in 1992 he took on the opportunity when Ron Wolf, who was the Green Bay Packers general manager, was recruiting a scouting internship. As a junior college, he became a scouting internship and it became his first NFL job. After he graduated from college in 1993, he became a pro personnel assistant for four years. During his time as a pro personnel assistant, he acquired countless of skill such as, how to construct a roster, when to acquire or release a certain athletes, and evaluating athletes: also, his ability to sign valuable athletes has helped the Packers won the Super Bowl 31. His talent became extraordinary to the point where he became a director of pro personnel for the Kansas City Chiefs for three years (1997-200) and the Seattle Seahawks for one year (2000). It is the general manager responsibility to rebuild the franchise and their number one goal is to bring the excitement to the fans. In order to do so, they must have a brilliant strategies. However, it a long-term process to rebuild the franchise but the fans and the football owner expected to see the improvement within two years. The first thing John Schneider did is building a relationship with the head coach, Pete Carroll. So that, he understand what the coach need is and his football philosophy; also, when they have that special relationship, they are able connect their vision on how they want the team to be like. They both pictured the team foundation to be a tough hard nose defensive team and a run offensive team with the ability to make big plays. The next thing Schneider did, is each year he would recontrust the roster. He would trade, release, and sign players till he find the right athletes that fit in the team system. Marshawn Lynch, who is arguably one of the greatest running back to play the game, was one of the player they traded for. The main thing Schneider did, is used the draft by drafting young athletes that are supremely talented and healthy. Since he is an expert on evaluating athletes, he knew which athletes would be the right fit for the team system and would have a long-term success as a professional football player.

...Schneider National Inc. Al Schneider was raised on a farm in eastern Wisconsin. He was only educated through the eighth grade. In 1935, he sold his family car and purchased his first truck. He started taking shipments around the local area and through Green Bay, Wisconsin. When the obligation is based on moral and ethical considerations, it is a moral duty. Often we think about moral duties in terms of rules that restrain us, the “don’ts,” as in don’t lie, cheat, or steal. Such rules comprise the so-called negative dimension of moral duty because they tell us what not to do. Since ethics is concerned with the way we ought to be, however, it also includes an affirmative dimension consisting of things we should do — keep promises, judge others fairly, treat people with respect, kindness and compassion. Sources of Moral Obligation Moral obligations can arise from three sources. The first, strangely enough, is law. 1. Law-Based Moral Obligations. Good citizens have a moral as well as a legal obligation to abide by laws; it is part of the assumed social contract of a civilized society.
