In the article “Dying in Oregon” author Joseph J. Kotva Jr. introduces the death choice by telling the story of Brittany Maynard; a young women who used lethal medication in order to commit suicide once diagnosed with a brain tumor. Kotva states that Maynard’s death shocked the world; and brought into the light the idea of using such medication to die the way “you” want. .
