Juanita Chavez was tremendously helpful towards Carla Romero and her daughter, Maria. Lucky for Juanita, she could speak Spanish and communicate with Carla and other neighbors in the surrounding areas and I think that is beneficial in any profession, to be bilingual. She was very persistent trying to convince the nurse at Maria’s school and the health department to let Maria back in school because the therapy given at this time of her life is very crucial, and to know if it there was any feasible way to let it happen since the mother has tried everything she could possibly do.
