A Mississippi native, Evangelist Juanita McDonald, born Juanita Hayes began singing down home gospel at the age of four. Mother Hayes ("Mo Dear"), Juanita's mother, groomed her seven daughters to sing the gospel at a very young age. In 1966, the family was uprooted and relocated to Indianapolis, IN where they attended Freedom Temple COGIC. As a young adult Juanita became a member of the gospel group, the "True Born Gospel Singers," which included four sisters and three cousins. A wife and mother of three sons, this angelic songbird has graced the same stage as Shirley Caesar, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, The Clark Sisters, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Bishop Richard (Mr. Clean) White, Elder James Lennox, The Winans, Elder Arlesta Washington, Kentucky
