...In the heart of every religion, there is a way to express one's deepest thoughts and feelings, which is called prayer. Prayer is something that most people do naturally. From the Religious faith's point of view, prayer is essential for human life. Among all of different issues that are constantly discussed in society, I picked one issue that is frequently brought to light, which is prayer in public schools. I believe, Prayer in public schools is something that needs to be allowed. In the existing world of loss of morality, mortifying of the school’s system, and lack of strong educational and moral principles among students, it is crucial and critical to initiate prayer in public schools in order to form a foundation for pupils’ successful spirituality...

...not always mean killing yourself in the name of god but rather it is a peaceful journey the individual takes by himself. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have their own versions of martyrs and martyrdom. These three religions often share many similar characteristics and they do have similar ideas of martyrdom but they also do have stout differences. This paper will ponder what martyrdom means to each religion and the differences between martyrs among the Abrahamic religions. Out of the three Abrahamic religions, martyrs are least prominent amongst the Jews. In the Jewish religion a martyr is associated with “Kiddush Hashem”. As said by Huseyin Cicek “Everyone who lives according to Kiddush Hashem is witnessing, and is a witness of, the one and true God. Every religious Jew has to live according to Kiddush Hashem, if he or she seeks salvation, because life is a gift from God. The only way of honoring God is Kiddush Hashem”. Cicek states that every religious Jew has to live according to the Kiddush Hashem, if this is so then every Jew that practices their religion is a Martyr. According to Rabbinic Judaism voluntary death is not permitted but fighting the enemies of Judaism is permitted. Rabbinic Judaism allows Jews to fight for their religion in a war but it does not allow suicide in the name of god. A martyr according to Rabbinic Judaism is a person who dies following the rules of the Torah....

...Gay Marriage: Should It Be Allowed? BCOM275 Gay Marriage: Should It Be Allowed? Homosexuality has been a taboo existence in the past, but now it is accepted more and more across the globe. However, the institution of marriage amongst the gay community has become a controversial issue, as was interracial marriage in the past. Although there are increasing parts of the United States and the rest of the world in support of marriage equality throughout the LGBT community, there are still those who remain against it. In this paper, you will read views and information from both sides stating why gay marriage should be legalized or remain illegal from the standpoints of family, equal rights, and religion. Homosexual and bisexual behavior has been documented around the world since ancient times via art, literature, and other historical artifacts (History of Homosexuality, 2013). In fact, studies show that many people are unaware that a peer, family member, or friend is homosexual. With that being said, why should gay marriage be so controversial? Supporters of gay marriage as well as the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Transgender) community agree that gay marriage should be legalized without stipulations. Those in civil unions are allowed to legally adopt children, but they cannot be in the hospital room when their partner passes away. It is unjust. Marriage should exist between two people who love each other, despite gender. To state one of the reasons...

...The Rise of Anti-Semitism Nicole Badofsky English 147 12.7.2015 Amanda Yates The Rise of Anti-Semitism I was scrolling through Facebook, as I normally do when my attention was brought to a video about Jewish men and women on college campuses. I proceeded to watch the video and became horrified at some of the stories I was hearing from students that were talking about being attacked by Palestinian protestors as well as people who were anti-Israel. The story that affected me the most was when a student was struck in the back of the head from behind by a group of Palestinian men. After the student was struck in the back of the head, he was in a coma for a little over three months and needed extensive recovery. This is just one story of the anti-Semitism we are seeing in recent years, thankfully he made a full recovery. Unfortunately, many Jews that are being targeted throughout the world have not been so lucky and have had their lives tragically taken, these are their stories. In recent years, the tension between Israel and Palestine has caused a large increase in the violence against the Jewish people in Israel, Europe, and the United States. Attacks on Israeli Jews have been extremely high in the past couple of years due to the tension between the Palestinians and the Israelis. In a recent study, on November 19th, 2015 Yesiab, who was age 32, Yaakov Don, who was age 51, Ezra Schwartz who was age 18 were tragically killed when a Palestinian man had opened fire with...

...Apologetics Application Paper: FINAL Joseph R. Tapp APOL 500 B05 October 12, 2014 Introduction Throughout history the word of God has been spread many ways, by many different methods, some of which were brutal and ugly. Not all people grasped this word as it was spread. Some even started to believe that there was no God, or if there was, based on their observations he wasn’t a God they wanted to know. Such a group are those that call themselves Anti-theists. Anti-theists promote an ideology that denies the existence of God, any god, and that all religion is evil and not good for us. In this paper the anti-theist worldview will be examined to understand the worldview, its key attributes and why one might be so inclined to pursue such an ideology. The worldview will be compared to the Christian worldview, the purpose of which will be to refute the arguments of the anti-theists worldview and provide a basis for which the anti-theist can be presented with information that might enable them to have a change of heart/mind and begin their journey to acknowledging Christ with the hope of ultimately receiving him. Significant Elements of the Anti-Theist Worldview What is Anti-Theism? Anti (against) -theism is quite simply the opposition to theism, specifically to God or to a god. It is not just the opposition to the Christian God, the Creator, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, no, anti-theism...

...CHAPTER NO. 01 1-PROBLEM & ITS BACKGROUND 1.1 Introduction In any economy banks play very important role. A bank is a reliable financial institution, which has core business of mobilizing the savings of people for investment purposes. It receives the money from one group and lends to other group of people. So bank performs the duty of financial intermediary. Usually there are two types of banks, conventional banks and Islamic banks. In simple words Islamic banks operate in interest free system. Prohibition of interest is ordained in Islam in all forms and intent. This Prohibition is strict, absolute and unambiguous. The Holy Qur'an in verse 278 of Surah Al-Baqarah states: "O ye who believe! Fear Allah and give up what remains of your demand for Riba, if ye are indeed believers." Verse 2: 279 says: "If you do it not, take notice of war from Allah and His Messenger. But if ye turn back, ye shall have your capital sums. Deal not unjustly and you shall not be dealt with unjustly." It therefore, follows that interest is prohibited as it leads to injustices and Islam is against all forms of injustices and exploitations and pleads an economic system, which aims at securing extensive socio-economic justice. The Islamic law of prohibition of Riba, which includes interest, was originally not based on economic theory but on Divine Authority, which considers the charging of interest as an act of injustice (Dr. Siddiqui). Islamic banks appeared on the world scene as active players...

...Bloodlines of Illuminati by: Fritz Springmeier, 1995 Introduction: I am pleased & honored to present this book to those in the world who love the truth. This is a book for lovers of the Truth. This is a book for those who are already familiar with my past writings. An Illuminati Grand Master once said that the world is a stage and we are all actors. Of course this was not an original thought, but it certainly is a way of describing the Illuminati view of how the world works. The people of the world are an audience to which the Illuminati entertain with propaganda. Just one of the thousands of recent examples of this type of acting done for the public was President Bill Clinton’s 1995 State of the Union address. The speech was designed to push all of the warm fuzzy buttons of his listening audience that he could. All the green lights for acceptance were systematically pushed by the President’s speech with the help of a controlled congressional audience. The truth on the other hand doesn’t always tickle the ear and warm the ego of its listeners. The light of truth in this book will be too bright for some people who will want to return to the safe comfort of their darkness. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I deal with real facts, not theory. Some of the people I write about, I have met. Some of the people I expose are alive and very dangerous. The darkness has never liked the light. Yet, many of the secrets of the Illuminati are locked up tightly simply because secrecy is a way...
