...2010 The Judicial Branch The Judicial branch of government of the United States was set up by article III of the Constitution. The Judicial branch is given great power over the common law, but still very limited due to a complex system or checks and balances. The Federalist Papers 78-83 describes in great detail the newly proposed system of judicial government. The author of these papers was Alexander Hamilton. John Jay, and James Madison contributed to the other parts of the Federalist. The most interesting aspect of the judicial branch is the way it fits into the system that also is comprised of the Executive branch, and the legislative branch. Alexander Hamilton writes, “The judiciary, from the nature of its functions, will always be the least dangerous to the political rights of the constitution; because it will be least in a capacity to annoy or injure them”. The executive branch can be viewed as the, “sword of the community”, and the legislative has the power to create the laws the all citizens of the United States must follow (Hamilton 78). The brilliant thing is even though it seems the judicial branch of government does not carry as much power, it never states that in Hamilton’s letters due to the fact that the judicial branch is considered an “indispensable ingredient” (Hamilton 78). The power of the judicial branch may be considered not as direct as the other branches, but is still powerful nonetheless. The legislative branch and executive...

...Four: This seems awful. What do humans do about this problem? John Cena: The United States, which is the country we are in now, is a democratic society. So we vote on the issues we have. We have three branches or departments of government. The three branches are the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branch. Bills, or proposals, are first passed by the legislative , then the President, or Executive Branch, can approve or veto it. If the president approves it then the Judicial Branch either approves it or vetoes it, also. But if he vetoes it then the bill gets sent back to the Legislative Branch for revision. Same thing happens if the Judicial Branch vetoes the bill. One: Is there sub-groups in the branches? John Cena: The Legislative Branch...

...The government has seven basic principles too run the place but in my opinion the most important are Legislative Branch, Executive Branch, and Judicial Branch. The Legislative Branch is the congress were they can do many things for example they can carry out laws. Also the Executive branch is represented by the president where he can carry out laws and many other things too help the country. The last one is the judicial law It helps Interpret laws and other things. These are some of the government branches i will be talking about and will explain how seperating power between them all is good. One of the first branches was the Legislative branch which is the congress, every branch has a certain amount of power they can use and the congress has some important ones for example the most important is that they can pass on laws. Another ability is that the congress can declare war this is important because the president is commander of the armed forces so that means he’ll have to much power so this evens out the power between them. This means that since the president is the commander of the armed forces so too even out the power only the congress can start war against someone. The president can also make treaties with other countries so the congress has the power to impeach and remove presidents and other high officials just in case they don’t follow the rules. This explains that just in case the...

...branches. For example, the producer is just like the legislative branch. The legislative branch creates laws and chooses what they will be about, and has the executive branch enforce it. And a producer can choose the songs and their meaning and have the artist sing it to the public. The judicial branch is very similar to a manager because a manager can choose if what the artist sings is appropriate for their image. In a like manner, the judicial branch can do constitutional review, and if it passes then the law is created. The Producer (Legislative Branch) can propose the idea and sound of a song (Law) to the Artist (Executive) If the Artist doesn't like the song, they can refuse to record the song. But if the producer decides that it will make more money and success then they can disregard the Artist idea of not recording the song. However, if the artist disobeys the producers rules, then they can have the power to fire the artist. These acts are identical to how the Executive and Legislative branch check each other....

...our founding fathers had chosen not to introduce the Judicial Branch in the Constitution. America would be an extremely different place, if not at all still exist. The Judicial Branch interprets the law, a task much more important than it sounds. The Supreme Court, the only court created by the constitution in the Judicial Branch, has made some of the most important decisions in US history. Ones that couldn't be solved by anyone else correctly in the federal government. The Judicial Branch prevents people from abusing law. The Judical branch interprets the constitution, and what they say the 266 year old document is, is what it is. On The Supreme Court has made...

...In the 1780’s, the United States of America held a meeting in Philadelphia called the Constitutional Convention. This was led by thirteen state delegates to discuss all the on-going problems occurring in the nation and to make whatever changes that were necessary for the Articles of Confederation. Many delegates wanted to divide the powers within the government but many were intimidated by the fact that one might receive too much power and would lead to another tyrant or dictator to lead the nation and its people. To avoid this possible outcome, they all came to an agreement to come up with the three branches of government naming them the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches of government. The Judicial branch also is known as the Supreme...

... Wednesday Oct 03, 2012 The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the United States of America. The first three Articles of the Constitution establish the rules and separate powers of the three branches of the federal government: a legislature, the bicameral Congress; an executive branch led by the President; and a federal judiciary headed by the Supreme Court. The last four Articles frame the principle of federalism. The Tenth Amendment confirms its federal characteristics. The Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787, by the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and ratified by conventions in eleven states. It went into effect on March 4, 1789. The first ten constitutional amendments ratified by three-fourths of the states in 1791 are known as the Bill of Rights. The Constitution has been amended seventeen additional times (for a total of 27 amendments) and its principles are applied in courts of law by judicial review. The Constitution guides American society in law and political culture. It is the oldest written national constitution in continuous use, and it influenced later international figures establishing national constitutions. It centers on concerns for extending democracy and balancing the federal budget. Over time the United States Constitution has come to be treated like an old...

...Carlisle IT Part Number Selection Structure Phillip Reynolds PRG/211 Novermber 5, 2012 Jack Warner Carlisle IT Selection Structure in Part Selection Module In order to create a successful program the importance of the analysis and design stages of the program development cycle cannot be overstated. After an in depth look at the problem and analysis of the problem it has led to the first stages of product design. The project is on schedule and an example of the programs functions and use of control structures will be introduced as we discuss the program updates. Part Number Input Module One of the major functions of the program will not only be footage production, which will be discussed in later program development reports but also part number tracking. Tracking what part number is ran within each run will provide a historical database for analysis providing improved inventory control procedures. The data will be tracked as currently tracked on paper but stored digitally into a database. This process can be realized within the program by the utilization of control structures and iteration control structures. Control Structures As discussed within (Venit & Drake, 2011) a selection control structure gives a computer the ability to take a defensive stance against incorrect data, which forces users to enter valid data as the input. Selection control structures additionally offer users the ability to make a decision within a...

...from the branches located outside Metro Manila are sent to the Manila Head Office through passenger buses every other day while reports from Metro Manila branches are received daily. 2. Difficulty of ascertaining the true level of branch revenues: During monthly meetings, Ms. Pimentel provides top management with past sales and expenses data for the last five years together with forecasted conditions for the coming year. Some branches exceed the sales budget while some are always below the forecast. Ms. Pimentel, the chief accountant, attributes negative sales variances partly to unrecorded sales and tampering of official receipts. Unrecorded sales or receipts may be done in several ways, examples: a. To provide repair service without the issuance of official receipts. b. To use spare parts of a “good” frame when servicing an order for repair instead of taking the part form the spare parts inventory. The frame from which the part is taken is later on declared as defective. c. The branch staff services orders from customers using the company’s own suppliers. 3. Connivance: Ms. Pimentel believes that this practice implies that personnel at the branches connive with each other in not reportin some revenues for the branch. Statement of the problem: In view of these cases, Ms. Pimentel is proposing to top management that a review of the company’s internal control system be made. Mr. Francisco, the VP for Finance, however, thinks that there is nothing...

...East Africa. It has to be at least 2.3 million years in the past. Its definatly a lot colder than in the future. The air feels really dry as if there was no moisture. Looking around I see the savanna luscious with vegetation. I spot a man or what looks like a man walking towards a group of trees holding what appears to be some sort of hammer or club. I slowly approach him and start to follow him and I discover a small village of sorts. This must be where the Homo erectus lives. The adults are roughly five to six feet tall but they have narrow hips. However they’re legs were denser. They’re heads have a less spherical and more elongated shape and suggest lower mental capacity. Their weight ranges from 88 to 150 pounds. I have noticed that they also have sweat glands meaning that they are able to cool themselves down in hot weather. They were hunter-gatherers or foragers. They lived in groups and worked together to survive. The males would typically go hunt while the females would gather vegetation like fruits and nuts and would process the meats that were gathered earlier. The females would also take great care in their week and young members. This would ensure optimal survival for their species... They would live in crudely made huts out of large tree branches. Each of the branches would be stuck into the ground and surrounded by rocks to prevent them from moving. Each of these huts were roughly tent shaped... I follow a couple of the males that are going hunting...

He took action when he saw the cost sheet of the catering manager amounting to $16,500. 3. With the constant fighting, it has been brought to the attention of the Regional Manager, Alfred Gamble and kidded that the type of competition should be fierce in the PR business. 4. Documented cases, seven to be in particular, between Leeman and Olson. Alternative Solutions: 1. Getting rid of either Leeman or Olson. PROS: * This MIGHT reduce the constant bickering between the two branches. CONS: * Losing one of the most talented employees would be a great adjustment for the company. It might also take time before they can replace a skilled employee. * This might also create more conflict between the two groups but the main problem would be ‘Who should the company dismiss? And for what grounds?’ It might be unfair for the other party. 2. Trading either Leeman or Olson for Bob Lyons at the Central Region Office at St. Louis. ...

...Nature Essay As I sit outside I feel all of my troubles leaving me. I have no stress. There is nothing on my mind. I am completely relaxed. I feel as if everything around me has stopped, and I have all the time in the world. I am at one with myself. I lift my head up and I look upon a sea of green grass. I then realize that the sky is a beautiful shade of blue, and there is not a cloud in sight. I can feel the sun's rays reaching out, and warming me to a perfect temperature. As I scan the tranquil scene in front of me, I begin to gaze upon a massive tree. The tree which I am looking at is very distinguished. This tree is absolutely massive. As I look at the tree, I start to see that are so many different grooves and markings on it. I examine each groove and marking, and I start to become lost while looking at it. As I continue up the tree, I notice all of the branches protruding out from the trunk out of the tree. I then start to examine the leaves on the branches. I have never studied a tree before, but now I understand that there are so many things going on with a tree that are not apparent from a distance. As I gaze upon the magnificent tree, I notice a squirrel on one of the branches. The squirrel had a beautiful, brown coat of fur with a white belly. It had little, fat cheeks, tiny ears, and dark brown eyes. The squirrel's tail was standing straight up. This squirrel seemed very aware of its' surroundings. Suddenly, the squirrel runs down the trunk of the tree...
