Justen, at the age of 23 is being tried for multiple cases of homicide via a semi-automatic pistol that was not registered to Justen. All victims were female, and had been killed with one shot to the head, and two shots to the chests. Their personal belongings were not touched, no money or credit cards taken just execution style shootings. The crimes committed during the last weekend in July, sometime between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. Following the death of the last victim, reports of gun fire had been reported, when the police arrive they found Justen laying on the ground, unconcious, with the murder weapon in hand. After further investigation, there was a correlation found for the victims which was that they all at one point has used this same hypnotist. From Justen's report after the hypnosis started, the next thing he remembered was waking up to find the police arresting him. After presenting this information to the police, the police immediately began to try and track down this man, who they had come to find out was the owner of the gun used in the murders. After about a week of searching for the hypnotist to bring him in for an interrogation, it became more plausible that Justen was in an altered state of consciousness during the homicidal acts, from the hypnosis he had been put under. After an expert witness testified for the court, discussing two plausible hypnosis theories that may have played a part in this incident; neodissociation theory of hypnosis and the theory of dissociated control.
