I spoke to Kahjour’s parents on a daily basis. I spoke with the mother every day when she dropped Kahjour off to school. During these meetings, I would praise Kahjour for making progress with his outburst, discuss any specific incident that happened in class on the previous day, and collaborate on any ways I could assist to ensure Kahjour was on his best behavior. However, when Kahjour had one of his extreme outburst, I would contact the father. This decision was made based on a conversation had with the father, in which he stated he was the primary disciplinarian, therefore, I should contact him instead of his mother. Furthermore, Mr. Bivins was constantly in my classroom. He made classroom visits, went on every field trip, and went to lunch with Kahjour.
