RECYCLING.
Recycling has three main components. The three arrows represent the three components of recycling. They are: Collection, Manufacturing and Buying. First, materials to be recycled are separated from the solid waste streams. Manufacturing is the process of transforming the recyclable materials into final goods. Then consumers must buy the products made from recycles for the manufacturing company to continue producing them.
Recycling is economically beneficial, energy efficient and environmental smart. Economical: Recycling has created many jobs across the nation. It has also reduced the cost of transporting waste materials to landfills. It’s more economical to manufacture products from recycle rather than virgin materials. Reusing materials such as plastic water bottles, using cloth diapers, avoiding paper plates save thousands of dollars.
Energy efficiencies: It takes less energy for industries to make products from recycled materials than out of raw materials.
Everlasting clean environment: Recycling reduces air and water pollution. Saves trees from being cut down to make paper which in turn save the ecosystem from being forced to change or destroyed completely. It reduces emission of greenhouse gases that are emitted during incineration such as carbon-dioxide and methane which contributes to climate change. Recycling paper saves billions of gallons of water that is usually wasted when processing raw materials. Recycling conserves natural resources.
