This decision may very well depends on the individual as the elected candidate will cause a different impact for each American. This essay will examine the position and programs of each presidential candidate under the four main economic issues in the United States: healthcare, taxation, international trade and environment policy. The first economic issue is Healthcare. As we all know, healthcare cost in the United States is comparatively more expensive than other countries. This is also the reason why many workers in the United States require healthcare benefits. Cost in healthcare is simply too high for an average American to afford if anything happens to them and therefore, many people purchase health insurance. However, having health insurance does not solve the high cost in healthcare because premiums are expensive and not all could afford it. At the end of the speech there was a question and answer session. However, when Andrew Meyer, a student of the U.F., started to ask his questions to Kerry, his microphone was cut off and he was asked to leave by some police officers. Meyer’s refusing to leave willingly was tased while several police offices held him down. There is even a video of Meyer being tased on YouTube. Was it wrong for the campus police to taser him, or were their actions justified? Did they use excessive force due to the overwhelming amount of police who were holding him, or were they in fear he could have hurt someone including himself? First, Meyer’s First Amendment right to free speech was blatantly violated; second, Meyer never should have been tased due to how many officers were involved in arresting him. Initially, Meyer was standing at the microphone asking his questions to John Kerry. When a university host standing behind Meyer did not like his line of questioning, the host gave the cut off sign to whoever was controlling the microphone. Without probable cause several police officers came over and told Meyer he must leave. If the officers would not have stopped him from speaking, he probably would not have been tased. The chart breaks it down into these catagories age, gender, race, income, education, and region that they live in. The statistics are quite suprising in some ways. The perecent of black people that are democratic as opposed to republicians is alarming, 86% of black people are democrats only 7% are repubilcan. In fact the only ethnicity that has a higher percentage of reublicans is white. Another interesting stat is that Americans making over 75,000 dollars per year are almost equal in perecentage of republicans to democrats. I would have expected that a significantly larger portion of people in that bracket would be republican. He was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1943. He studied at Perth Technical College and then pursued his studies in University of Western Australia and graduated in 1968. He was one of the first eight architecture degree graduates of the university. After graduated, he worked for Jeffrey Howlett and Bailey in Perth for three years, from 1969 to 1971. He worked at new Perth Concert Hall and acknowledged Jeffrey Howlett as his important mentor in architecture. Then, he began to apply for jobs in United States but had no luck.
