Organizational Learning

The CEO of Best Snacks, Inc, Elizabeth Fairchild, intends to improve the organizational learning of the organization. She is extremely passionate about improving the market standing of the company. Fairchild believes individuals within the organization can achieve this with the creation of creative concepts. Since Fairchild is so avid about this, she has requested Sabrina McKay, the vice president of organizational development, to implement an agenda that will permit employees to enhance and use their creativity. “The process through which managers seek to improve organization members’ desire and ability to understand and manage the organization and its environment so that they make decisions that continuously raise organizational effectiveness” (Jones, 2004, 376). The company I work at provides employees with about 40 hours of development and training throughout the year. This large amount of training and development is to help encourage all employees to use creative and innovative ways of thinking and operating in the workplace.
