Task: | Expansion | STEP 1: PROJECT CHOICE | Topic Title: | Lack of expansion of seats in food centres | Reasons for choice of topic: | As Singapore’s population is constantly increasing, there is an increase in the lack of seats in food centres such as hawker centres and food courts. Footnote evidences of population increasing and lack of seats at food centres? During lunch and dinner timings, many are unable to find a seat as soon as they reach the food centres and thus they are forced to wait until there is a vacant seat. The impatient ones may then choose not to eat and leave the food centre. As such, during those peak hours, many of those who manage to get a seat would use their belongings such as their tissue paper and umbrellas to reserve their seats. This would thus cause foreigners who visit the food centres to think that Singapore is a society that lacks graciousness.
