I began my exploration of the issues of Kudler Fine Foods (2010) during week five of Management 521, using the virtual internet website (University of Phoenix, 2010). I identified issues that seemed to be more roblematic for Kudler Fine Foods (2010). Those issues include having small management teams with lots of responsibilities, and the geographical expansion limitations that stem from a shortage of managers.
Problem Statement:
Kudler Fine Foods (2010) will improve the employee turnover rate and hire managers to more successfully delegate managerial responsibilities and task. Kathy Kudler will create a working environment conducive to all employees. This way, managers will have the opportunity to sharpen their old skills and learn new ones. Each role will be delegated properly and all the work will not be left up to one more. In addition to that, Kudler Fine Foods (2010) will open up another location for business and close the Del Mar location down. The Del Mar location is not doing very well as expected due to the small population base of the area (University of Phoenix, 2010). With New managers quipped with new skills placed strategically throughout our store locations it will provide the opportunity for more improvement on the services that KFFs provides.
The organizational chart shows three directors, three store managers, six store assistant managers and a department manager for each department in the stores (University of Phoenix, 2010). Of 127 employees, there are 27 in an office or managerial role, according to the Kudler Fine Foods virtual website (University of Phoenix, 2010).
