An accomplishment is never easy to achieve, it requires effort; real effort. And when it comes to hard work, I have been doing nothing with my life but working hard. Always had a dream and since i stepped into this country i knew i had to work hard day and night to get to where i want. It was never easy, but i never took a step back. Always trying and trying and pushing myself forward. Even with the much more responsibilities i have at home, never allowed anything to pull me back. My vision was witnessing nothing, but a dream that one day i believe will come true. And that is why i continue to work harder and harder everyday; because one day I believe people will call me Dr. Wilson.
Making it to college in general is such an honor for myself and family. Imagine being given a chance to be called an LIU student? It is much more than what i could ask for. Couldn’t chose a better college to fit in. When i figured i was accepted, i had nothing on my mind but to run to my sibling and parents and scream “LIU BABY!” With a huge smile on my face. In Egypt, since college is harder than the US, people show you and treat you with a lot of respect when they know you made it to college and was able to survive with a degree. They know how hard it is; and not just that, it also makes a huge difference when it is time to get married. People see you as a responsible man who is willing to fight for happiness and be able to raise a respectful educated family. Looking at it from that perspective makes me want to break into walls and raise the bar higher and prepare myself for the real world. If one day i think about marriage, college, specifically LIU college will be the one place that helped me, and I’ll never forget that and tell this story to my kids in the
