This past summer, I took a trip to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where I stayed at the La Reata Ranch, located near Lake Diefenbunker. Throughout this 1 week stay, I spent time outside while participating in many activities. Including swimming and canoeing at Diefenbunker Lake, learning how to line dance, helping out in the farm and meeting the animals as well. But throughout this whole experience what I found most enriching was learning about the life of a Canadian Farmer, in a rural area. Spending time at La Reata Ranch exhibited that there is a major difference in urban and rural life. Rural lives tend to live at a slow pace, and enjoy their time outdoors. While in urban life, there is always a hustle and busy aspect to our everyday routines.
