Emotional development is the emergence of a child's experience, expression, understanding, and regulation of emotions from birth through late adolescence. It also comprises how growth and changes in these processes concerning emotions occur. Emotional development does not occur in isolation; neural, cognitive, and behavioral development interact with emotional development and social and cultural influences, and context also play a role (Odle, 2013). Emotional problem is a common term for a range of psychological difficulties often related to anxiety or depression. Symbiotic relationships are special type of interaction between species. Sometimes beneficial, sometimes harmful, these relationships are essential to many organisms and ecosystems, and they provide a balance that can only be achieved by working together. Symbiotic relationship is different from any other interactions that happen between species because in this relationship live together. Symbiotic relationship is evident in dance in emotion because one of them can’t survive without the other one. Emotions and dancing show mutualism. Mutualism occurs when both species benefit from the interaction. For a dance to be demonstrated well, emotions must be shown by the dancer. A dancer might memorize the steps easily but without emotions, the dancer will not be able to move people and engaging the audience is the most important thing when performing for people. Emotions of a person while dancing can be shown by making facial expressions and body language. In dancing, the body is used as an instrument to portray what the dance really wants to say. On the other hand, emotions use dance as a medium for a person to express his/her feelings. Ballroom dancing refers to a series of dance performed with a partner in both, social as well as competitive settings. Dancing in competition style will usually incorporate internationally known dances such as the Waltz, the Fox Trot, the Samba and the Paso Doble. Ballroom dancing offers a total cardiovascular exercise, working all of the major muscle groups in varying degrees of intensity, depending on the dance executed. During the first few days, new ballroom dancers will feel pain in muscles they didn't know they had. For proper execution of the dance moves, both partners need to have good coordination, as well as an all-over good physical tone. In the dance Jive with HipHop, the basic step pattern is left foot backward then lift right foot in place. Next, move to right side by stepping right foot first then close the left foot then right foot again. The basic step pattern is easier to remember using step, step, step, close, step, step close step. In counting it is, 1, 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6. Muscular strength and muscular endurance are essential in the upper body, especially the back and arms as well as the lower body, primarily in the core section as well as the legs and calves. The hip abductors, hip adductors, quadriceps, calves, the hamstring and gluteals are involved when dancing. The upper back muscles, especially the area around the shoulders and upper arms including the triceps and the girdle and deltoid muscles are also involved. The abdominal and obliques, collectively known as the "core," which includes the abdominal wall muscles and the spinal erectors are also involved when dancing Jive with Hip Hop. As time passes by, I have seen that I’m learning from Professor Ronda. Some of his strategies I like the most is that, he executes his moves well and also, from his last name also, “RONDA”, he always roams around to check and make sure that no one is left behind in his class. Even if sometimes he’s not in a good mood, he never fails to make us, his students, happy and be proud of him. He is totally an awesome professor. In the very beginning of the class, I was late for 2 minutes and I will never forget that. He might be a terror professor for some students, but when they get to know him more, I’m sure no one will regret knowing him. Because of what happened in the first day, I was motivated to go in class early and be punctual not only in his lass but also in my other subjects. His strategies are very effective for he has taught his students to be good not only with academics but also with the attitude. The song of Lady Gaga “Applause” made the choreography more impressive. From the introduction up to the last competency, I’m sure that when people will see this, they will be really amazed. The song just fit into the moves and steps given. What I like the most also is the last part where there will be a kind of drama at the end of the presentation. Every part of the whole dance has its own beauty and plays a big part. There is no dull moment in the whole choreography. If we, the dancers, will be able to coordinate and do our part with all our minds, hearts and souls, we will be able to portray it. I am very thankful for having Deion as my partner. First of all, I have remembered him for his confidence during LPEP days. He was one of the froshies who participated in dancing programs. I have also known that he is a dancer. Knowing this, I have set a standard for me to do good. Of course, it will be a shame if my partner does good while I can’t cope up with him. Most specially, with the help of Professor Martin, he gave us time to know our partners because in his class, we came from two different blocks. Knowing Deion more has relieved me for I know that he can assist me with the dance steps. It became easier for me to cope up with the steps because my partner is approachable. He is also friendly. Having a classmate from the other block, gave me the chance to be acquainted with other people. I can say that my partner and I are doing good with dancing. I’m not that an expert when it comes to dancing but I am sure that I can really dance. When I was in my elementary and high school years, I am afraid to dance. I am afraid of other people to see me dance. My mom always tells me that I shouldn’t be ashamed with what I’ve got. She told me that I have the moves and compared to others, I can really dance. Sometime I just think of it as an ordinary comment for she is my mom and she will say good things about me to boost my confidence. As a server, I realized that I am talented. I should be thankful for everything that god has given me. With my 16 years of existence here in the planet Earth, I should be able to share my talents and blessings to other. I make efforts to ehance and I always make sure that I treasure everything that happens to me and my family. Because of Professor Martin, I was able to boost my confidence and not be afraid that people see me dancing. Given the chance to have stayed with Professor Martin is really a pleasure. Some LaSallians say that your college years will not be complete when you won’t have MARTIN C. RONDA as professor in FTDance. Not to insult you Professor, but you are already old. You must be staying at home and resting but still, you chose to be with us. Despite your long lived age, I can see the devoted side of you as a person. You are truly amazing. Honestly, you are one of the great mentors I have met. I don’t care even if sometimes you yell at us. I know that you’re doing everything for us to learn and for you to inculcate good values within us. As LaSallians, we are expected to be disciplined and be best of the bests. Aside from being punctual, Professor Martin taught us to be attentive. The best way to learn is to be attentive and from listening and applying everything that have learned. For us to get and follow the steps in a short period of time we must listen and we must be attentive in everything. Also, I learned to be more responsible in this subject. It is important that everything is arranged properly and everything should be done within the time. With regards to being responsible, I learned to avoid cramming. Avoiding cramming will help a person to be more productive and finish tasks before the deadline. There are more positive values that I should be thankful because of Professor Martin but I would like to thank him for teaching us the etiquettes. Etiquette and good manners are very important when socializing with people. This includes the respect you give to others and the respect you gain in return. Having good manners include saying thank you and please when asking for a favor. One example of etiquette that was used in our FTDance is, it is important to cover your mouth when yawning. My stay in Professor Ronda’s class is fruitful because aside from learning how to dance properly, I was also able to improve my knowledge and skills. I was able to know myself more and share my talents to my blockmates. I am happy to have Professor Martin as my FTDance professor. Sometimes I think of him as not only a professor but as a dance instructor. He earns money from his talent. No doubt that even if his old age, he still looks young and strong. It is because of his dancing skills and his positive values in life. My parents’ hard earned money got its worth for having paid large tuition fee with FTDance made me learn more about dancing. Aside from dancing, I was able to know more about myself. I was able to improve my weaknesses and focus on my strengths. It was a pleasure to have Professor Martin for FTDance.
