To the Management staff

I am writing in response to your recruiting advertisement for a job.

I am an active and hard-working person, thus I am very interested in working in a public place where I can be able to meet and communicate with many people. Previously, I have worked at the Mambo Cafe and The Warehouse as my Work Experience. I really enjoyed it because at the end, I have learnt a lot of good and helpful experiences that enable me to improve my working capacity.

I have an ability to learn and adapt quickly to a new environment. Also I have a good character in work such as having a high sense of responsibility and able to integrate work with team members well. I am easy-going, approachable, willing to take on any task and well organized. I am reliable, ethical and respectful. These qualities will enable me to work efficiently and get on well not only with staff members but the customers as well. In addition, I can handle personal interaction well even in busy periods as well as working under pressure.

I have finished a Diploma of Business at Victoria University. Currently, I am undertaking a Bachelor of Accounting at Victoria University in my 2nd year. Though I am studying, I would like to have a part-time job as to gain some experience as well as improving myself to a higher level of communication and better skills.

The Global Environmental Tragedy: Hoe Het Emission Trading Scheme de ‘Perfect Storm’ Bestrijdt

...------------------------------------------------- The Global Environmental Tragedy: hoe het Emission Trading Scheme de ‘perfect storm’ bestrijdt Advies voor de het DG CLIMA van de Europese Commissie SPM 3530 - Beleid, Economie en Recht Clementien Fabels - 1510762 21 maart 2012 Trefwoorden: CO2-emissie, Emission Trading Scheme, CO2-markt Aantal woorden: The Global Environmental Tragedy: hoe het Emission Trading System de ‘perfect storm’ bestrijdt ------------------------------------------------- Onafhankelijk advies voor de het DG CLIMA van de Europese Commissie Auteur: Clementien Fabels, (milieukundig) adviseur Consumentenbond 1 - Inleiding “The Global Environmental Tragedy can be described as a perfect moral storm. The perfect storm is one where three different storms come together. In climate change three moral problems meet each other: one of global content, one of intergenerational content and one of theoretical content.” (Gardiner, 2011:6).

...Unfortunately, Bob realizes the store may lose additional purchases because of the decision to have Tom assist Imelda. However, Bob strongly believes the company policy is a purposeful guideline to follow, and he should not waver from this policy. Initially, gender discrimination is a major legal issue that arises in the case of the female customer requesting a female salesperson to assist her in purchasing shoes. As the sales manager, Bob cannot replace Tom with Mary to appease the customer. It is company policy that two floor employees rotate between working in the back and assisting customers. If Bob were to switch the rotation and allow Mary to assist the employee, he would be violating gender discrimination law-Title VII, in addition he would be violating equal pay law (Bennett-Alexander & Hartman, 2007). The policy at the store states that the rotation of the employees is use to allow the floor employees to receive commission pay each time they run the floor and assist employees.
