Team leadership and ethics

Leadership in organizational works became one of the most important areas in team work with popular and rapidly growing areas of researching. Actually it existed always in our history but nobody gave an importance for it. For example the great Egyptians chose their team leaders with good sense. The chosen leaders had the abilities to work efficiently with they workers, they knew how to schedule and report the duties. Ethical behaving was very important but only for the superior leaders as others didn’t have any ethical codes. The first king that made an ethical and governmental code was Hammurabi. Team leadership is a very important science in the present and it isn’t abstract at all, as many people say. Everything started in 1950 when scientists developed the interconnections between persons to a higher level, to working groups and connections between them. The first time when scientists put accent on leadership and mostly team leadership effectiveness, was in the 60’s and 70’s. The modality to improve the effectiveness was made by several organizational interventions. In the 80’s and 90’s the world’s biggest economies developed some standards with quality teams, leadership skills with continuous improvements. That’s the reason why organizations have faster response capability, great quality management and developed global view.
Teamwork
The base of leadership is team work and leadership type dependent. But what is teamwork?
At a Customer-Centric Project Management Conference in 2001, person from Sydney said that “Teamwork is the fuel that enables ordinary people to do extraordinary things.”

The writer of the report considers that this opinion reflects in an appropriate way the idea of teamwork. Actually he put the sentence as an introduction in the report atmosphere and content.
