My best leadership quality is dealing with conflict through listening and communication. I learned from experience that even though it is important to people how we see them, what really matters the most is how we see people. If we were to view all people to be similar to us and expect them to do things the way we do, we would most likely be creating conflicts all the time. However if we were to accept people to be different, we would not be surprised when we see them think or act differently from the way we do. I find this to be the solution to the core of every conflict. When I am going through conflict as a leader, I always remind myself that facing that conflict is the only way to get past it. It is not really easy; it really takes courage to face people when you disagree with them. Then I remind myself that the reason behind that conflict is that the person is different from me so probably he/she is seeing things from a different perspective. I find thinking positively at that point is a key cause I can either ignore that person’s point and just focus on proving my point, or I can turn this into a constructive disagreement which can help me to actually improve my point. The magic usually happens when I start talking with whoever I am having the conflict with and we both start working together through effective communication to help resolve the issue. This idea has helped me a lot throughout my life in every event or organization I participated in because having conflict with people is inevitable everywhere we go.

My worst leadership quality is managing time. I know that time is a valuable tool, and I need to use it efficiently in order to increase my productivity throughout the day.
