...My MBTI results showed that I am an ENFP. ENFP means enthusiastic innovators, that I am always seeing new possibilities in the world around me. It also means that my world is full of possible projects or interests that I want to pursue. I learned that I am confident, spontaneous, and flexible and that I also rely on my ability to improvise. By doing this I learned a lot of things that I did not know about myself. I can say that I am truly shocked by these results. This definitely explains why I find other types challenging. Now that I have taken this assessment I think that it is going to change the way I do anything. I know I will do some of the things different than I do now. Having this information mean a lot to me, I have read a lot on this. Such as ENFPs love variety—of ideas, people, and environments. They bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to whatever they turn their attention to. They are stimulated by new people, ideas, and experiences. ENFPs see connections or relationships between ideas or events. They make their decisions based on their personal values. Those are some of the characteristics of an ENFP. I also learned about ENFP with others. Here are some examples, ENFPs are skillful in dealing with people and often have remarkable insight into the possibilities open to others. They look for the potential in others and then help them develop that potential. They are good at expressing appreciation and giving support. ENFPs enjoy meeting people from different...

...Learning Preference Assessment Claudia Sanchez Grand Canyon University NRS-429V-0103 July 13, 2014 Learning Preference Assessment There are four different learning styles: visual, aural, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. Different people learn different ways; some are visual, some are aural, some are reader/writer, and some are kinesthetic learners. There are also people who have different degrees of combinations of the different learning styles. These learning styles preferences influence how people use different types of information to learn: some will learn better by observing, others by listening, others by reading or writing, and others by hands on practice, or any combination of these four. This paper analyzes the writer’s perceived preferred learning style by completing a questionnaire and compares it to the actual learning style or styles that the writer utilizes. Results of questionnaire After completing it, the questionnaire suggested that this writer’s learning preference is a combination of reading/writing and kinesthetic, with a score of 7 and 6 points respectively, while visual and aural obtained 2 and 1 points respectively (vark-learn.com). Reading/writing and kinesthetic study strategies The study strategies suggested by the website for the writer’s two strongest learning styles identified are: for reading/writing: taking and reading notes, changing information from diagrams and graphs to words, practicing with multiple choice questions, organizing information...

...CHAPTER I THE PROBLEM Introduction Learning environment refers to the physical characteristics of the surroundings of the students when learning. These may vary depending on environmental elements such as sound, light, temperature, and design (Tenedero, 2009). Sound is the first element of the learning environment. Most students are contented with only one sound inside the classroom. This sound refers to the teacher’s voice - explaining the lesson, giving out instructions or assignments, or scolding a student or the entire class (Tenedero, 2009). Some learners prefer total silence or minimum sound because sound acts as a distraction to their effective learning (Senge, 2006). A study done by an American, named James Wallace (2008), mentioned that Filipino students prefer a quiet environment rather than having music or other sounds when studying. However, there are researches which showed that many students prefer to listen to a lecture or study on their own with some background music on because it makes them more receptive to learning (Tenedero, 2009). Light is the second element of the learning environment. Brighter lightings can reduce visual problems, fatigue, and posture problems and produce effective learning which helps improve students’ academic performance (Jensen, 2006). However, research also shows that there are many students who perform significantly better in low light environments because bright lights make them restless, fidgety, and hyperactive. Dimmed...

...you have multiple preferences you are in the majority, as approximately 60% of any population fits that category. Multiple preferences are interesting and varied. For example you may have two strong preferences Visual and Aural (VA) or Read/write and Kinesthetic (RK), or you may have three strong preferences such as VAR or ARK. Some people have no standout scores. Their scores are almost even for all four modes. For example one person had scores of V=6, A=6, R=6, and K=6. She said that she adapted to the mode being used or requested. If the teacher or supervisor preferred a written mode she switched into Read/write for her responses and for her learning. So multiple preferences give you choices of two or three or four modes to use for your learning and for your interaction with others. Positive reactions mean that those with multimodal preferences choose to match or align their mode to the significant others around them. But, some people have admitted that if they want to be annoying they may stay in a mode different from the person with whom they are working. For example they may ask for written evidence in an argument, knowing that the other person much prefers to refer only to oral information. This can be used in argument or debate. You will need to read two or three or four lists of strategies provided in the Helpsheets. If you have two almost equal preferences please read the study strategies that apply to both preferences. If you have three preferences read the three lists...

...(Each profile is usually 7-8 pages in length depending on the VARK scores provided. The various sections of the profile are shown below.) This profile was written for a person with a strong AURAL preference who had VARK scores of: V= 3, A= 12, R = 5 and K= 2 and a total of 22. Section A The profile begins with some general points about what VARK indicates and what it does not. Not all are shown here. 1. VARK is not a definitive measure. With only 13 questions it indicates your preferences for the ways in which new learning is “taken in” and expressed. 2. VARK provides information about your Preferences which may not be the same as your Strengths. Although you may be a skilled artist you may not choose “visual” as your way to learn new information. Similarly there are skilled athletes who prefer not to learn using their kinesthetic mode (K) although they will use that mode extensively when performing/playing. 3. Nobody works in a single mode and very little of our communication is possible in a single mode. etc. Section B Some characteristics of those who have a single preference follow: e.g. Those who have a single preference have a number of stances. They may choose to use only their preferred mode for making major decisions and for learning. They say they are indecisive and confused when information comes to them in other modes. Having made their decisions using just one mode, they may be less confident that it is the "right" one than those...

...At the heart of bias untruths two ideas: lack of awareness and apprehension. Every one of us has a tendency to have biased dispositions towards others. This sort of preference or "pre-judgment" depends on lack of awareness. It is a typical human reaction to racial, social, sexual or different type of contrasts, on the grounds that every individual have a tendency toward prejudge other on top of the premise of restricted learning, particularly on the off chance to they are not the similar as us. In this way we are all preferential, and for all intents and purposes none are excluded. A large portion of what goes for preference in the public eye is the after-effect of lack of awareness of different gatherings and their lifestyle and social condition. In light of the way “American” culture is in the blink of an eye organized, most “Whites” have neither applied thought nor direct experience of life in the “African American” and “Latino” groups. This is on account of the overall standards of partition and isolation that avert individuals of distinctive racial/ethnic gatherings from communicating with one another in an important and positive way; sustain this obliviousness of gatherings, which thusly offers ascend to states of mind of partiality. For such a typical person situation, the exhortation of a previous theological school educator of colliery is mainly useful and deserving of practice: "The characteristic of a full grown personality is the capacity to suspend judgment until...

...The Effect of Information Overload on Consumer Choice Quality in an On-Line Environment Research has found that online information overload results in less satisfied, less confident, and more confused consumers. The founding ground for the research has been on the notion of limited human processing capacity (Bettman.J.R., 1979) (Streufert, 1965), if consumers are provided with too much information at a given point in time, such that it exceeds their processing limits, the problem of information overload occurs which leads to poorer decision making and affects performance. Study This study examines the effect of on-line information load on consumer decision quality. Model Used Information load was measured by the number of alternatives and attributes and distribution of each attribute value across alternatives. It combines both traditional and structural approaches to investigating information overload. Result Results from this study largely confirm that when the level of attributes is varied equally across alternatives in addition to the number of attributes being increased, that is, when imposing information overload, consumer choice quality suffered a negative effect and is consistent with prior findings using the structural approach (Lurie, 2002) (West, 1996) Satisfaction in Choice as a Function of the Number of Alternatives Investigations have found how satisfaction from choice varies as a function of the number of alternatives faced (Elena Reutskaja,...
