Learning Team B - Week 3 Assignment
Kudler’s Fine Foods – Current Website
Taking in consideration the basic concept of the current Kudler’s Fine Foods web site design, it is recommended the implementation of an e-commerce module or platform without having to drastically change the content of the current design.
E-commerce is not being used by Kudler yet, even though there is great opportunity to include an interface that can potentially help upsell the current inventory of goods not only to the local area but also to the rest of the United States.
The current site is designed using ASP, which is an older version of the ASP.NET language developed by Microsoft. While the site uses ASP, it does not serve any type of dynamic content, web application or web service, which can easily help start the migration of the current content to HTML5, along with a small implementation of animation if requested.

Proposed Prototype for Kudler’s Web Site Based on the above recommendations, the prototype of the Kudler’s web site e-commerce will have a front-end developed using HTML and CSS for structure consistency.
The basic theme of the site, including colors and fonts will be maintained in order to provide users with a newer, yet familiar interface.
No external plug-ins will be used to run animations if the requirements need it. No Java, Adobe Flash or ActiveX will be used in the elaboration of the site in order to avoid proprietary technology to be installed in visitor’s computers. Further testing of the site among different web browsers will be required before publishing the website in the public server.

E-Commerce Front and Back End The shopping cart functionality of the site, along with the credit card charging methods and catalogue operation will be maintained through the use of Google Checkout. The Google Checkout HTML
