Team Ground Rules and Guidelines
What are the general expectations for all members of the team?

1. All team members will contribute their work in a timely way and meet basic scholarly standards. JWP
2. Team members who are unavailable during planning of distribution will gladly accept the role assigned to them. JWP
3. If a team member, for whatever reason is unable to submit their work in the agreed upon timelines, will also take on final submission of work, so as to not unreasonably inconvenience other team members. JWP

Expectations for Time Management and Involvement

(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)
1. Distribution of work shall be determined and agreed to no later than Thursday (Day 3) of each week, with a work submission deadline of Sunday (Day 6) at 12p (MST). JWP
2. Compilation of work parts will be posted to the classroom by 11:59p (MST) for team review. JWP

Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration
What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?
1. Work distribution will include content, word count, and timeline for submission (if work sections are contingent upon another, otherwise timelines will be consistent with standards above).
2. All work will be submitted in a scholarly format, including APA citations, proper grammar, and appropriate editing.

...first assignment as a team. With working with all these different people, with many different personality types, can prove to be a challenge. We had some good times, some bad times, and even some funny times. The first challenge was everyone having a clear understanding of the assignment. The team members who had a clear understanding went right off and left the group members who needed some more clarification of the assignment. This caused the team not to be on the same page. The Learning Team Charter will help keep this from happening again because the team put this problem on the Charter. We could see very early on that the problem existed and we took care of it and we added to the Charter. The second problem we ran into was everyone not equally participating. Some team members wanted to jump right in and knock the assignment out. So, they started contributing right away. Other team members messed around until the Charter was almost completed. I do not know if this was because they did not understand the assignment, they did not have the time, or just laziness. The Learning Team Charter will hopefully keep this from accruing again. The team added this to the Charter under most every section. The team wanted this to be clearly stated, so that it does not occur again. It is never fare when one or two team members do all the work for the entire team. It is very important for every team member to contribute equally.
