Identify the Target Markets for Your Sport and Your Team

The NFL has been a thriving business for over 50 years, and the main target market has been male athletes and males from the ages ten years of age to 65 years of age. Since recent years, the NFL has observed female fans it has become a target market for the NFL they have seen an increase from 44 percent of base fans to a 60 percent of female fans over the age of 12 which identifying themselves as NFL fans. Last year, 80 million women watched NFL games, and around 310,000 women attended NFL games. The NFL has now recognized women’s interest in the league, and they have now sought out to find out new ways to cultivate the female fans passion for the league.
The NFL has come up with a new strategy by focusing on women’s apparel. Since the NFL knows women enjoy looking good, they have developed a women's apparel line that features items like Victoria Secret loungewear as well as Nike active wear and couture Marchesa tops. Each piece of team apparel has team colors and is tailored to fit a women's body. The league has also included different accessories to the women's apparel like watches boots and other jewelry items. The NFL has strategized women's apparel to grow its business and revolutionize the sport and help women define themselves as fans and providing them with apparel that will suit their personalities as well as the teams they love which is better than having them wearing undersize or oversized men's wear.
Geographic Factors to be Considered
Each sport has a following of fans. It is all determined by where the sport is conducted, if there are enough people interested in it and if there is a team with enough skilled players to get the audience attention. Football is a sport that is conducted throughout the United States. Each team from each state has a following of fans and they differ per the location of the team. The sport of football has been split into divisions in order to accommodate the teams’ ability to handle the different geographic locations. This sport is played in the rain, snow and extreme heat. Most team owners have even converted their stadiums to accommodate those kinds of conditions. The great thing about the sport of football is that it is one that creates friendly competition between teams and fans alike.
Demographics in Football Demographic is the key component used in marketing to identify every segment of a specific population or target market. Demographic gathers important information such as geographic area, gender, education level, race, age, and income. Shopping habits, consumer features, and local characteristics are included in this project. This methodology is so important because it will affect the success or failure of the marketing plan and will help to avoid costly mistakes. There are many public institutions that provide value information for the type of research such as; the U.S Census Bureau and the Bureau of labor Statistics on the Consumer Expenditure Survey. In addition, the Chamber of Commerce of the specific city, state, and/or country and many other websites provide educational information to develop a successful plan.
For instance in football, ESPN is the leading provider of sports on the television and internet. It targets young male fans; providing breaking news, statistics, schedules, and updates on teams and players. Their demographics are:
•Median age: 29 (66% between 18 and 34)
•Men: 94% | Single: 47%
•College educated 87%
•Employed Full Time: 74%
•Average (Mean) HHI: $72,100
•Attended sporting events within the last 12 months: 81%
•Purchased products online in the last 12 months: 89%
Source: espmgo.com website According to the espmgo.com website, 68% of avid sports fans used the internet in the past 30 days. The racial demographics in American Football tell us this below:

• NFL fans- the once who say they follow the NFL in some form
• NFL televisions viewers – the once who follows on television
• NFL internet viewers – those who follows on line

Furthermore, demographics have smaller segments such as state, region, and local divisions. For instance in football and just for the sake of this paper, in Arizona, we have the NFL football team ‘The Cardinals’, College proud team ‘Arizona State University’, and local high school football teams. Demographics play an important role when creating a marketing strategy. Even the smallest segment or division must be considering avoiding a price mistake.
Conclusion
The many demographics’ that deal with the excitement in football shows that it is a true American sport that brings all types of people together. The fact that men women of all different classes all enjoy the glory of the game and all it festivities shows it is a game that has the marketing capability to relate to any kind of person in any kind of class.

...analysis). In lease analyses we are comparing lease financing (which is a type of debt) to “regular” debt financing. Video 20 and Chapter 25 in BMA are the main materials. As you review the video, work through the lease example in the Excel file (financing uma 13.xlsx). Toward the end of video 20 is described the concept of adjusted present value. Pay close attention to this material as well, because it describes how in some very specific cases the results of an investment decision and a financing decision must be considered together. The deliverable for this two-week period is Exercise 4, which is an individual, i.e., not a team, exercise. We’ll also use the time to review the course learning objectives, especially those for the second half of the course on financing. Although there is no final exam, I have reposted the learning objectives document in a folder named Course Review. We can use it as the basis of reviewing the course learning points. Adr for Learning Team Charter

...Resolution Clause for Learning Team Charter Business Law; Law/531 July 5, 2010 An alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is used in resolving disputes among individuals. The most common form of ADR includes arbitration, negotiation, mediation, conciliation, mini-trial, fact-finding, and judicial referee (Cheeseman, 2010). In the learning team environment conflicts and disputes among team members have the potential to occur. Because disputes need to be resolved within a timely manner to avoid falling behind in deliverables, an ADR clause may be necessary to help resolve conflicts and disputes. The purpose of this paper is to prepare an ADR clause conducive to a learning team environment. The ADR clause, disputes subject to an ADR, and provisions necessary to enable an ADR will be identified. Unresolved conflicts and disputes in a learning team environment are subject to the alternative dispute resolution clause. Conflicts and disputes can include lack of participation, lack of preparing and submitting required deliverables on time, violations of academic integrity, and the code of conduct including plagiarism, whether intentional, or unintentional (University of Phoenix, website, 2010). Team members will first attempt to resolve conflicts and disputes as a cohesive unit through communication and negotiation; however if team members are unable to resolve issues within a 24-hour period, the ADR clause will be implemented, and proceedings will begin. Team members will agree to...
