Let the Earth Bring Forth is a book to prove or testify God’s creation. A man who has spent so much time, efforts and almost his whole life for exploring the region of spiritual faith and science. Many people have some struggles between the theories which they have learned in biology and the traditional opinions of creation that they have learned in school. This book has truly answers all these questions and struggles by using different scriptures in the bible. In this book, the author tried to prove and explain that science and religion are not incompatible by nature. For example, we know that through the bible, the word “day” has used to mention time period. In Genesis 2:17, the Lord has instructed Eve and Adam do not eat the forbidden fruit or they will die on “the day” they eat. We know that at last Adam and Eve have eaten the forbidden fruit but they have lived for many years. The day spoken of in Genesis was not twenty-four hours period we calculate nowadays referring a day. Furthermore, “Let the earth bring forth” is God’s royal command (Gen1:11) God has prepared an earth that would bring forth and grow. In the bible, “And God said, Let the water bring forth abundantly, the moving creature that hath life and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good…. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his mind and God saw that is was good. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was every good. (Gen1:20-21, 25.31) From this we God has prepared and created wonderful things in the earth such as mountains, rivers, plants, animals. There is light and dark, receiving warm from the sun. The earth was prepared to bring forth an atmosphere with appropriate gases and rocks with appropriate minerals. It makes sense for me when I read the scriptures and combined what I have learned in biology classes. Also, we know that organic evolution occurs, and it is the mean that God prepared for his purpose to carry out the evidence that science and religion can be combined. In Genesis1:11; Abraham4:11, we have learned about the speciation by evolution. Stutz writes. “The Earth has brought forth and is still bringing forth species after species after species. The concepts of organic evolution, as I understand them, appear to harmonize with the scriptures. Points of disharmony seem few, and these few disparities appear to be the result of either ignorance or misinterpretation. In either case, they will most likely be resolved as new light and knowledge become available” (65) I love the writings from Stutz because he is really good at using different scriptural knowledge combined with scientific truth to prove the things we know.
There are many members from our church who are famous scientists in the world such as Howard C. Stutz. Without questions, he is a wonderful science and this book is an very good resources and introduction to questions about the compatibility of organic evolution with LDS scripture.
I know that God is the greatest scientists who have created this earth and all the plants and animals. We should continue to learn from the scriptures and the science to help us develop more concepts in order to better understand the secrets of this earth.

...burnt-offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the LORD said to Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down upon it. 8 And the LORD said to Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and shunneth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for naught? 10 Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thy hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. 12 And the LORD said to Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thy hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. 13 And there was a day when his sons and his...

...How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Get thee behind me, Satan; get thee hence: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. What seek ye? Come and see. Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas. Follow me. Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Before that Philip called thee, when thou wart under the fig tree, I saw thee. Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. Fill the waterpots with water. Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. Take these things hence, make not my Father's house a house of merchandise. Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. † Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Biblical Worldview

...building blocks for all mankind, in regards to the natural world, human identity, human relationships and civilization. The scriptures guide us through life; teaching us how to view the world, humanity and God the Creator of all. It helps us to understand the function of the world or God’s initial intended function. The natural world was formed in six days by a triune God. We are told through the scriptures that the “earth was without form, and void” (Genesis 1:2NJKV), it was by the power of the voice of God that the world came into existence. Through this we find the separation between God and His creation; that he is the origin of all living things and ultimately the one in control. He separated the light from darkness, water from land and day from night. He placed all living creatures on the land, in the sky and in the sea. The theory of evolution is disproved within the six days of creation when God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.” (Genesis 1:11 NKJV). Every plant, animal and human were called to produce according to its own kind, therefore, not being able to evolve from a lower life form. The Bible teaches us that on the seventh day God rested. After speaking the world and all its inhabitants into existence, God looked at all He created and saw “it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31) At this point the principle of the Sabbath has...

The God of the Hebrews Versus the Egyptian Gods

...8, 2011 Intoduction There is a belief in a supreme being by all religions on earth. I believe that the same GOD of the Hebrews is this GOD because of his display of power over the Egyptian gods. This report looks at one account of many in the bible where GOD uses an ordinary man to free his people from bondage in Egypt using signs and wonders. The God of the Hebrews Versus the Egyptian gods One of the most awesome displays of power and love in the Bible is the deliverance of Gods’ people from Egypt. They were lead out of Egypt by Moses, a Hebrew found floating in an ark by Pharaohs daughter as a child. Moses, now grown, went out unto his people and saw an Egyptian beating one of his brethren and killed the Egyptian. After hearing of what Moses had done the Pharaoh sought to kill him but Moses had fled to the city of Midian and as time went on the King of Egypt died and the children of Israel (Hebrews) cried out to God because of their bondage. Thus the Lord remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and Jacob and sent Moses as the deliverer of his people. Moses is then encountered in the presence of God being called out of the mist of a burning bush and is given instructions to return to Egypt with Aaron where he demands that Pharaoh set his people free. And Pharaoh replies “Who is the Lord that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord ,neither will I let Israel go”(direct quote Bible, Exodus 5:2). After returning yet again the next day demanding...

Psalm 104 Research Paper

...As I was read through the beautiful Psalm 104, pictures of God’s handiwork began to flow through my mind. This psalm truly shows God’s uniqueness in creating Creation, as well as His splendor and majesty. Examples of how God shows his wisdom in Creation are, “He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never move”(vs. 5). This verse has given us comfort that God will never let chaos dwell on Earth. “You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate that he may bring forth food from the earth”(vs. 14). God has given humans as well as animals plants to nourish our bodies. “They (springs) give drink to every beast of the field”(vs. 11). God provided water sources to quench His creation’s thirst. “He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting”(vs. 19). God blessed with different seasons, each with different purposes. He also made the sun set in a way that we can have day and night. This psalm is showcases God’s intelligence well....

Why Evolution Is True

...God created the Heavens and the Earth in the book of Genesis. In Genesis 1 states that in the beginning the earth was without form and was dark. God divided the light from the darkness and created night from day. Throughout all that I was taught, I always wonder if there was something there before the earth became in darkness. The scientist through the studies of fossils have proven that there were in fact dinosaurs that roamed the face of the earth and that something suddenly happen to cause them to all die. Through the fossil, scientist are able to show us that there are many animals that evolved into other animals to change with the changing earth in order to survive. This at first was very hard for me to get. I was taught that God created everything. In the book of Genesis 1: 10 – 12, 20 – 22, 24-25, God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters he called the Seas. And God said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so and it was done. God said, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly of moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind. ...| The Book of Genesis | Analysis | | | | “God said, ‘Let there be light’, and there was light.” What an impressive way for the world to begin. Could you imagine witnessing something so powerful? I know I could imagine witnessing something so dynamic. The book of Genesis starts the creation of the world. It begins off with God, a spirit, creating heaven and earth, who then hovers over an empty and dark place, which he called earth. Hovering over the earth, He says, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Isn’t that very extraordinary? How many people you know can do that? It goes on to say he called the light day and the darkness night, then evening and morning came and that was the first day of creation. Now, its 24 hours in a day and all God did was say, “Let there be light,” I wonder what He did for 23 hours 59mins and 50secs? Then He said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water”, and it happened and he called that vault heaven, and evening and morning came again and that was considered the second day of His creation. See, what is this man doing with the rest of His day? So I’m guessing the next day is the third day? God then goes on to say, “let the waters under heaven be gathered into one place, so that dry land may appear”, and following He said, “Let the earth produce fresh growth, let there be on earth plants bearing seed, fruit trees bearing fruit each with seed according to its kind”, and apparently all that He...

Who Is the Enemy of Life on Earth, Alins or Humans Themselves?

...We have seen in a number a Hollywood movies that how ambitious aliens come and bring about destruction of the earth. They are shown to possess ultra modern technology that humans cannot match, but still humans somehow manage to save earth from their wrong intentions of conquering earth or destroying earth. But, that is only the happy ending in a movie. The main idea behind is that we have created the notion of some extra-terrestrial life who is mean and wants to destroy earth for his/her desires. We are always afraid of such beings as they are portrayed to have intent to conquer earth. Are they really a threat to earth? Or, is it the humans themselves who are the enemy of the earth. I will present the arguments from both the sides and let the audience decide. What can possibly be the motive of aliens to venture towards earth and their assumed intentions to conquer earth? Like humans it might be their appetite for natural resources, they would know only too well that a civilization of our size would have used a substantial portion of our own resources, leaving them with very little to fight us for. On Earth, proven reserves of natural gas total 130 billion tons. Titan, one of the moons of Jupiter has on its surface many dozens of lakes filled not with water or even water in the form of ice, but of liquid methane and ethane, each of which individually having at least as much energy as our own proven reserves. The Oort Cloud surrounding the solar system, is rich in iron...

Creation In The Bible: The Creation Of Man

...Creation of Man This is the history of Humanity. “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void…” (Genesis 1:1-2) There are two versions or parts of creation in the Bible. The first one is in Genesis 1:1-2:4, and the second, Genesis 2:4-2:24. However, it is all connected into a more detailed and exciting story. From the beginning, God forged us, humanity, with a purpose, but that change after Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of knowledge of good and evil. However, we will first unite the pieces and see the greater picture. As we all know, the Bible starts narrating us on Genesis 1, how from nothing God began his creation, but there were darkness and emptiness. Again he said, “Let there be light,”...
