LEVEL OF PERCEPTION TO DISHONEST BEHAVIOR AND THE HONESTY OF STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO TAGUM CAMPUS

Statement of the Problem The main objective of this study is to find out the level of perception to dishonest behavior and the extent of students honesty in University of Mindanao Tagum Campus. Specifically, the researchers of this study sought to answer the following questions.
1. What is the level of perception to dishonest behavior of UMTC students in terms of: 1.1. Cheating; 1.2. Copying assignments; and 1.3. Plagiarism?
2. What is the extent of students honesty in University of Mindanao in terms of: 1.4. Examinations; 1.5. Assignments; and 1.6. Research?
3. Is there a significant difference on the level of perception to dishonest behavior of UMTC students when respondents are grouped according to : a. Program enrolled; b. Year level; and c. Gender
4. Is there a significant difference on the extent of Students honesty in UMTC when respondents are grouped according to: d. Program enrolled; e. Year level; and f. Gender ?
5. Is there a significant relationship between the level of perception to dishonest behavior and the extent of honesty of UMTC students?

Hypothesis The following hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance:
1. There is no significant difference on the level of perception to dishonest behavior of UMTC students when respondents are grouped according to program enrolled, year level and gender.
2. There is no significant difference on the extent of Students honesty in UMTC when respondents are grouped according to program enrolled, year level and gender.
3. There is no significant relationship between the level of perception to dishonest behavior and the extent of honesty of UMTC students?
