Lifescan Questionnaire: What Might Be My Likely Cause Of Death?

Before personally completing the LifeScan questionnaire I considered three questions about my possible death; what might be my likely cause of death? What are behaviors that might increase my chances of dying from these causes? And what are protective behaviors that might decrease my chances of death from those causes? I have to admit this questions has crossed my mind more than once, of course there are some ways that I would like to “go out”, but in all reality, I believe that I will die of a heart attack. The behaviors that might increase my chances of dying from a heart attack are a continuation of an inactive lifestyle and the intake of unhealthy foods regularly. Protective behaviors that might decrease my chances of death from a heart attack would be to work out daily. I believe that if I changed my behaviors now, I could change my prediction of how I will die; moreover, a change in behavior will increase …show more content…
Visibly, I had no question that I was overweight and the reality that this might affect my health status latter in my life; however, I feel it is a little exaggerated to state that I have a 200% of dying from heart attack and a 267% risk of Diabetes Mellitus compared to the average 19 year old female. I get a physical every two years; thus far my doctor has not expressed any concern for my chances to develop Diabetes or risk of a heart attack. I am well aware that I should live a healthier lifestyle, consisting of working out more and eating healthier, but I feel as if the results were a little overstated. Finally, I pride myself in my good driving abilities, I always wear a seat belt and drive within five miles per hour of the speed limit, so I feel a little offended by the above average cause of death status I received, 30%. I understand the roads are unpredictable, but I am doing everything in my power to keep myself safe on the roads; the LifeScan evaluation mocked that
