...make before eventually realizing that they have all along been on the losing side. Remarkably, in modern times, the youths engage in a lifestyle of negligence that endangers their present and future life. Pierce, in her poem, depicts the transformation of a modern youth by using flashback to recount the dark days to the transformed days. Given this, this essay makes an analysis of Pierce’s poem, "Relevant Details" in respect to the modern lifestyles and the way individuals come to realize of their endangering lifestyle. The poem begins with a description of a bar referred to as the Den of Iniquity and whose emblem was a “neon martini glass.” Notably, the name of the bar depicts the kind of place it is and the activities one would expect to place therein. In current times, such places are common and mostly target the young people, who frequent them to for their binge drinking habits and other inappropriate lifestyles. Pierce’s poem is written from a narrator point of view. In this case, the narrator, a youthful female was a regular visitor of the bar mentioned above, and she indicates that she used to dance in the presence of several men who watched her with truculent eyes. Obviously, considering the narrator's behaviour of going to such a place to satisfy her desires indicates a negligent way of life, which is in line with the modern times lifestyle. The narrator equally goes on to outline the details of her alcohol drinking. Evidently, one would expect her to do succumb to alcohol...

...Trend Article Analysis University of Phoenix – MGT373 Jennifer Choy August 21, 2011 In this day and age there are millions of trends that are present in almost every industry. In order for an organization to be successful it is essential that they follow some of these trends so that their company appeals to people. This proves to be true for the event planning and convention industries. Two articles that pinpoint a couple different trends are “Nifty gadgets taking special events to a new level” and “ The article “Nifty gadgets taking special events to a new level” is a great example of trends within the planning and convention industries. In the years 2001-2004 these industries saw a huge decline in business. The reason for this was the failing economy. Companies and organizations could no longer fit events and gatherings into the budget. In 2005 event planning companies such as Dolce parties finally started to see an incline in corporate parties and events. However, these parties and events were at a much smaller scale. It was only the important people that were being invited to these gatherings because the budgets were still not back to where they were. Since the comeback of events was at a slow pace, event planners and convention industries decided to introduce some new gadgets to attract clientele. ...Future Trends Charmaine Saint Surin OI/466 June 6, 2016 Fred Greifenstein Future Trends According to Webster.com dictionary, a trend is usually known as something undergoing change or is developing into something or going into a general or specific direction. Innovation is about timing, but there is not a theory behind it. It includes processes and new ideas and then they are converted into new useful products. It creates value for customers who pay for it. Disruptive Innovation is an all-out risk taker, creating new markets with more practical approaches towards buyer's purchasing power. What we know is that innovation does not have an end, it's the fact that what we want and what we need continues to change. Innovation is not the goal but everything we do to get to that point. I think collaboration within innovation is an revolving trend. This is the concept of an open source. With the internet age, there are so many people connected worldwide, so there is the fact of collaboration. It creates alternatives for companies who which are smaller to have the ability to remain small and agile. If that is the choice, it also allows those less ended businesses to be a part of the larger agenda in innovation. Innovation is a connected function of communities. It seems like we are all trying to come up with new solutions that capture the technologies we encompass and maybe even working with alternatives reworking those technologies. An example of this is universities...

...The Medicine Wheel: A Guide to Achieving Personal Goals in Life One of the important subjects that is of great interest in Aboriginal Studies is the Medicine Wheel; how it is used as a guide for personal decision making and actions through life, particularly to achieving our personal goals. What the Medicine Wheel is all about and how it helps guide us to a more fulfilling life is a question most of us wonder. The Medicine Wheel is a crucial element of First Nation’s culture. It is a powerful symbol of the aboriginal people’s spirituality. It is the essence of their way of life, a key to understanding the universe, and a guide in which an individual can reach wholeness. It provides framework for growth and direction in one’s life (Roberts, Harper, Bull, & Heideman-Provost, 1998). “The Medicine Wheel symbolizes the interconnection of all life, the various cycles of nature, and how life represents a circular journey” (Traditional Aboriginal Medicine, 2009). The Medicine Wheel as a visual symbol is an effective tool for personal development (Native American Medicine Wheel, 2011). Based on my learning from the class discussions and presentations, I found this project very interesting and inspiring. I found it to be an important guide towards attaining success. In this paper is my vision of what a medicine wheel would be like and how I connect the medicine wheel ideas to my outlook, and to realizing my goals in life. ...

...Consumer Insights 1-1 1. Lifestyles centers allow the consumer to peruse the items available for sale in a relaxed setting. Consumers are able to stop and grab a bite to eat or go to a movie during their shopping excursion. The consumer is also able to take the items purchased home on the same day instead of waiting for it to be shipped. 2. Lifestyle centers are not able to house the same large number of shops that a traditional mall is able too. The consumer is limited to a small number of stores to make purchases. If the consumer wishes to visit a specific store, this is not an issue. However, when it comes to browsing several stores the product variability will not be the same as in a traditional mall. Also, during inclement weather, the outdoor mall setting will not be optimal. A consumer will be less willing to browse store to store when the weather is not ideal. A traditional mall, however, protects the consumer from the weather and promises the ideal shopping climate every time. 3. I am not sure what a virtual lifestyle center would look like. I am sure it would be possible to create because online anything is possible. However, it appears that one of the major attractions to a lifestyle center is the ability to stop for a coffee or see a movie and this does not seem feasible online. If one were created, I would imagine it would offer a small variety of stores set up to allow the consumer easy shopping among them all. Perhaps one checkout procedure would...

...In our modern urban lifestyle, we have lost our sense of community. We need to return to a simpler way of life. Discuss. Following the development of technology, the quality of life becomes better off. It is attractive enough to live in cities, because people can enjoy a lot of convenient facilities. However, some people believe that many people do not know their neighbours and the sense of community has been lost with the increasing number of people in cities. In this essay the effect of the modern urban lifestyle in cities will be discussed. Nowadays, many people tend to live in cities for different reasons. They move into cities mainly for work. Because they leave early in the morning and come back home late in the evening. They do not want to waste their time on a train or bus. If they live in cities, they do not need to wake up early to take a train or bus. Furthermore, living in cities means that they can easily find places or facilities to fill their every need in the urban life, which is valued in the individual lifestyle rather than the sense of community. On the other hand, many people seem to be more isolated than ever before. Because of focusing on the individual lifestyle in modern time, it is hard to have an opportunity to make a deep relationship with people living around. People do not usually know what happens to their neighbours. Humans are social creatures that cannot be independent of others. As a result, even if there are a lot of convenient places...
