However，as sensors to measure body slip angle are very expensive, it needs to estimate β from variables measurable. The most difficult forβestimation is that the strong non-linear characteristics of vehicle, especially non-linear characteristics of tire force makes vehicle model parameters change greatly as vehicle running in nonlinear conditions. This paper proposes an observer based on nonlinear tire model which can describe the tire lateral force in its nonlinear region. We proposed the implementation of trilateration technique to determine the position of users in indoor areas based on Wi-Fi signal strengths from access points (AP) within the indoor vicinity. In this paper, percentage of signal strengths obtained from Wi-Fi analyzer in a smartphone were converted into distance between users and each AP. A user’s indoor position could then be determined using a formula proposed based on trilateration technique. Since then researchers look for reasons and try to find countermeasures. Most of the countermeasures which were formulated in the last decades are based on experiments with simple linear supply chain models consisting of two to four serial levels. In reality supply chains are complex and dynamic systems. In this paper we developed a dynamic simulation model of a complex simulation network and statistically examine whether the countermeasures described in the scientific literature work or do not work. The preliminary results shows us that at least one countermeasure which works perfectly in linear supply chains is also suitable for complex supply chain networks. One of the major markets for Ethiopian coffee is Japan. This paper, therefore, analyzed the determinants of demand for Ethiopian coffee in the Japanese market. The Linear Approximate Almost Ideal Demand System (LA/AIDS) model was used to estimate a system of expenditure share equations for Ethiopian coffee and its competitors. Quarterly time series data from 1988 to 2009 were obtained for the analysis. Empirical results indicated that most of the slope coefficients were statistically significant and in accordance with microeconomic theory. The demand for Ethiopian coffee was determined by its price, price of substitutes, the contamination dummy variable, and total expenditure in the Japanese market. Ethiopian coffee demand was found to be elastic and this has an implication in pricing policy.
