What is gender? What is sex in biological terms? Are gender and sex the same thing? Explain why or why not?
Gender is the state of being labeled as being a male or female. In Biological terms sex means determining whether or not the person is male or female based off of their organisms instead of by appearance. I do not think that sex and gender mean the same thing because gender refers to expectations, and roles that take place within society. Sex refers to physiological characteristics. www.medicalnewstoday.com/ How do gender and sex contribute to the concepts and constructions of masculinity and femininity?
Women are often viewed as being feminine, while men are considered to be the masculine ones. Society looks at women as being caring and the ones who take care of how, while men are labeled as the ones who go out and make the money so the woman can do what needs to be done at home.

Do our concepts of gender and sex contribute to the ways we embrace gender and sex in diversity?
I believe that we embrace gender and sex in diversity. I feel that many people look at us females one way and view men in another. In society people view one another as either being male or female, and I think that many people feel that there is only two types of gender and that’s either male or female, but this should not be the only technique used to determine whether someone is male or female. Now a day’s people are more open with their sexuality and will go so far as having surgery to change their appearance. facweb.northseattle.edu/ Do our concepts of gender and sex
