There are many different interpretations of love. The Webster’s II Dictionary Third Edition states that love is, “Intense affection; A feeling of attraction resulting from sexual desire” (Unknown 422). This is the official dictionary definition of love but there are many others including my own. Elaine Hatfield, William Walster, and Francesca M. Cancian have similar views of what love is; however, Paulo Coelho’s view is more closely related to mine. I believe that love is an uncontrollable force that can be both intimidating and beautiful at the same time.
