...Mail System Project – Diagram Author Note This diagram is being submitted on August 21st, 2013 for N234/CET2810C Section 01 Microsoft Exchange Server course. Mail System Project – Diagram Explanation All outside messages will be routed through the edge transport server to control the flow of messages that are sent to or received from the Internet. And will also to its part in protecting us against viruses and spam. Then from within my organization the hub transport server will handle all flow of mail from within the company. All messages will be using SMTP to submit messages to the hub transport server. I have kept RPC encryption enabled for protection between my hub transport servers, mailbox servers, and my client access servers. But do to issues with RPC encryption and versions of outlook I am using Https between my client access server and the outlook web application. We have our second site that replicates with site 1 for redundancy and the communication between these two sites our secured by SMTP over TLS (SSL) this enables a certificate-based authentication and helps provide security-enhanced data transfers by using symmetric encryption keys. The shared secret key is appended to the data to be hashed. This helps enhance the security of the hash because both parties must have the same shared secret key to verify that the data is authentic. Site 2 houses the domain controller with active directory and the global address list. And again everything in Site...

...Denver International Airport Project Communication Plan Prepared by: Date: 6/15/12 Version: Master Plan Document Purpose Communication is a critical component in project delivery. It must be delivered in a timely and effective manner to all project stakeholders in order to meet objectives and achieve project goals. This document will detail the execution of all communication regarding the Denver Airport Project. This includes, but is not limited to, communication to and from executives, managers, and the project team. It will also discuss the means and frequency by which communication will be delivered. Overview The Denver International Airport project consists of designing and constructing a new airport, based upon a “Home-on-the-Range” design. The City of Denver requires a wide open entry point for visitors. The airport is to maintain a distinctive look that will be easily identified by travelers. This design must meet specifications provided by the City of Denver. The new airport should allow for more traffic in and out of the airport, while also becoming less congested. Improvements to runways will lead to a more efficient operation of the regional airspace, significantly reducing aircraft delays and airline operating costs. The new airport will also result in reduced noise impact, as it is being built on a relatively large site in an unpopulated area. The overall layout will be more efficient in reducing passenger walking distance, while also having...

...The End of E-Mail INC. Magazine, February, 2006 Issue Author: Darren Dahl Submitted to Dr. Akpan Strayer University By Angela D. Davis Information Systems for Decision Making (CIS 500) Article Review 1 Week 4 April 30, 2006 2 This article seems to suggest that e-mail which has become a way of living, and communicating will eventually become another thing of our past. The article written by Darren Dahl makes a good assertion on why this may become the wave of the future to no longer need or use e-mail in business and in our personal lives. With e-mail becoming so demanding in just the volume a person may receive in a matter of hours, the volume of constant e-mailing is literally overwhelming no matter if it is business or personal. We don’t have a lot of time to read or to respond back to coworkers, communication between people who are in our groups to discuss or review projects by e-mail tend to get lost in e-mail shuffle, notification of interoffice schedule meetings sometimes will be missed due to too much e-mailing, and at home we just may not have the time to even look at our e-mail because of our family obligations once we are home. In this article, Tom Biro shares his thoughts about a possible new way of saving time and keeping track of how we communicate by using the “wiki” software to create webpages that can be used on the Internet or in the company’s Intranet. After reading this article, I agree that...

...Research Paper: Enterprise Collaboration Systems Introduction Enterprise Collaboration Systems or ECSs are systems that create team and workgroup collaboration. They enhance communications, productivity and provide support in business operations. Some basic examples of ECSs are e-mail, chat, and videoconferencing (O’Brien & Marakas, 2011). As we dive into this research paper more detailed explanations will be made of what the systems are and how they help organizations collaborate and enhance quality of work. ECSs also include applications that are sometimes called office automation systems, which are systems that create workflows to get rid of paper and create a smoother experience for users (O’Brien & Marakas, 2011). Organizations have many systems and ECSs are not ones to be left out. Information systems perform three vital roles in business firms. They support organization’s business processes and operations, give users more valuable information to help with good business decision making, and create strategic competitive advantages. Information technology, with the help of the Internet, provides us with the avenues to communicate ideas, share resources, and coordinate our cooperative work efforts. The goal of ECSs are to enable us to work together easily and effectively by helping us to, communicate, by sharing information with each other, coordinate, by helping us organize our work efforts and use of resources, and collaborate, by helping us work together cooperatively...

Larson Reference: Leadership - Being an Effective Project Manager Western Oceanography Institute - Conversion to Windows NT It was already 72 degrees when Astrid Young pulled into the parking lot at the Western Oceanography Institute (WOI). The radio announcer was reminding listeners to leave out extra water for their pets because the temperature was going to be in the high 90s for the third straight day. Young was three-quarters of the way through the Microsoft NT conversion project. Yesterday had been a disaster, and she was determined to get back on top of things. Astrid Young Astrid Young was a 27 year old graduate from Western State University (WSU) with a B.S. degree in management information systems. After graduation she worked for five years at Evergreen Systems in Seattle, Washington. While at WSU she worked part-time for an oceanography professor, Ahmet Green, creating a customised database for a research project he was conducting. Green had been recently appointed director of the Western Oceanography Institute (WOI), and Young was confident that this prior experience was instrumental in getting her the job as Information Services (IS) director at the institute. Although she took a significant pay cut she jumped at the opportunity to return to her former college. Her job at Evergreen Systems had been very demanding. The long hours and extensive...
