-Width and type line in aircraft drawing are very important to tell what is the actual dimension of the real objects/parts will be.

-Two methods – Overwing and Single-point refueling
Overwing – this type of fueling is a common one, used on most planes, helicopters and all piston engine aircraft. The aircraft and the fuel truck must be grounded first. The fuel ports on aircraft are opened, and fuel is pumped in through nozzle from the fuel truck.
Single-point – this type of fueling usually used on larger aircraft. The fuel is stored in underground storage system. Service truck having filter, water separator and a pump driven to aircraft and inlet hose connect to the underground hydrant valve. The hose from the truck then discharged and attach to the fueling part of aircraft.

-A title block is normally drawn at the bottom of the paper. Inside the title block is important information such as Name, Title and Date. The measurements for the title block can be seen below (these can vary depending on the type of title block being used).

-Distance represented by one turn of the thimble is 0.025 inch.
The use of Vernier scale on micrometer is to permit measurements within 0.001 millimetre to be made on metric micrometers, or 0.0001 inches on inch-system micrometers. The additional digit of these micrometers is obtained by finding the line on the sleeve vernier scale which exactly coincides with one on the thimble. The number of this coinciding vernier line represents the additional digit.

-spilled gasoline should never be swept with dry broom as static electricity may cause spark and ignite. Always flush the spilled gasoline with water first before sweeping. In case of fire happen, provide exit for aircraft in the hangar before the cleaning process as precaution. Also check the availability of fire extinguisher.

Class A fires – solid combustible material ( wood, paper or cloth burn, cabin fire ).
Class B fires – combustibles liquid ( gasoline, oil, turbine fuel (AVTUR), paint thinner and solvent)
Class C fires – energized electrical fire ( electrical motor, generator )
Class D fires – metal fire ( magnesium)
Fire extinguisher recommended for Class B fire is dry powder.

-Detail drawing shows all information necessary to determine the final form or to purchase a part or to construct a part.
Assembly drawing is a number of detail parts or sub- assemblies that are joined together to form a specific component or machine.
Installation drawing is the general arrangement or position of parts with respect to an aircraft and provides information needed to install them.

Single Cut – Has one row of teeth. Cut at angle between 65 and 85 degrees. Produce smooth material finish.
Double Cut – Has two row of teeth. One set of teeth at 45 degrees. Other between 70 and 80 degrees. Primarily used to remove large amount of material.

Hot start – engine experience hot start if the EGT or turbine inlet temperature, TIT rises above allowable limit. It is usually caused by too rich fuel or air mixture.
When hot start occur – turn fuel off, then ignition will be off and start will discontinued. Then investigate what is really happened.
Hung start – If false start where engine light up but does not accelerate to speed that allow It to operate without the help from starter.

Several views that can be combined on a single drawing using the orthographic projection systems, first angle, and third angle projection. Six possible views can be drawn (front, rear, top, bottom left side and right side). Three view drawing is the most common (front view, right / side view and top view).

Prick punch – Small sharp pointed punch. Used to transfer dimensions and location on to metal. Used with small hammer for marking follow marked with center punch.
Center punch – Similar to prick punch but slightly thicker in diameter. The point of center punch is ground to an angle about 60° to provide an indentation that is approx. the cutting angle of drill. Generally, there are two types of center punch (solid center punch and automatic center punch).

Outside caliper is an instrument consisting essentially of two curved hinged legs. The legs are curved inside and looks like a circle.
Inside caliper also an instrument that consisting essentially of two curved hinged legs. But it curved outside a bit at its end, and looks like a human legs.
Divider is a device resembling a drawing compass. It has two legs with sharp end.
