In this novel, Victor Frankenstein is the main character. The book starts out with Victor having a great childhood, his mother and father adopts a little girl named Elizabeth and raises her up with Victor. His mother plans for them to get married when they grow older. Victors mother gets very ill from nursing Elizabeth. Catching scarlet fever and dyeing later on. Victor becomes very interested in the human body. How life works, how the body decays, everything about the human body he wanted to know about.
