Some of these are large chain restaurants competing with small neighborhood businesses. Drexler’s has been in the area since the late 1940s and appears to be currently serving customers. It began as a small establishment from a great-uncle but due to cramped quarters relocated to a 13,000 square foot location in 2003. The menu features unique family recipes that have been passed down generation after generation. The store only has two to three employees during most of the year with additional one or two part time employees when the nephews are out of school for the summer. The values and mission of the BBQ restaurant have been passed down from generation and can be seen by the satisfaction of the employees and the dining atmosphere. The owners take pride in caring for their employees and insuring that patrons are welcomed with a smile and joyful demeanor.
