Mansa Musa had a great sense of fairness. Historians called him “Musa the Magnificent.” He was also known for his dedication to religion. People felt safe when they traveled his lands,(aka The Mali Empire) There was even a decrease in crime because criminals were scared of the punishments. He was also a supporter of education. Mansa Musa encouraged and shared knowledge. In his kingdom education was free and supported, basically, he loved having educated people in his community. That’s why he spent large sums of money on books, teachers, and schools. So that scholars around the world came to visit Timbuktu in the hope of learning more.
