After analyzing the information given from this case study there is more information that needs to be present. Information such as how many times has Marcia moved? Why did she move from her last school? These questions are important because Marcia’s family may or may not have had to move due to issues with Marcia. However, her moving in the past could be unrelated to her issues. Another important question to ask is about her home life. Her family and home life is also important to consider. Answers from this may indicate weather she is exhibiting this type of behaviour at home as well. She could just act that way at school or there may be something in her home life contributing to this behaviour. I would also want to know what was in the sketchbook, as this could be an insight as to how Marcia truly feels. I would also want information on if she seeing someone for these behaviours such as a counselor or are these behaviours new. …show more content…
It is common to be shy starting at a new school but the behaviours Marcia are exhibiting going beyond that. She produces very little work in class but seems to know most of the answers. She also spends her time with her head down during class or looking out the window. She often sketches in a sketchbook or reads dark novels instead of engaging with her fellow students. Marcia is described as expressing very little feelings through her dialog. She also avoids other students and does not eat in the cafeteria. All of these behaviours suggest that Marcia is very distant and withdrawn from everything around her. She secludes herself and doesn’t engage in class or socialization.
