Marguerite Montgomery Elementary is located within the South Davis area, which is an affluent community. The elementary is well-maintained with an open space composed of green areas with playground structures and a network of student gardens.The grade levels consist of transitional kindergarten through six, with a 27:1 student-teacher ratio. This elementary is unique in establishing a welcoming safe space for all learners as it strives to maintain an inclusive culture. Montgomery continues to progress because of the fortified bond between the families and the school administration, staff, and faculty. Therefore, the school culture is an emphasis on the student's academic success as well as their personal development.

I suggest that when he feels frustrated, for the teacher to let him take a walk or read a book and have quiet time. This alone time would be essential for the student to center themselves. It’s interesting because the classrooms are dedicating circle time specifically for students to share their emotions and communicate them in a efficient and effective manner. The safe, welcoming space that the teacher establishes allows the students to feel comfortable in expressing their emotions. For instance, students share they have green feelings (happy), yellow feelings (silly), red feelings (angry) and/or blue feelings (sad). I feel like this time allows the opportunity for students to understand that their feelings are valid and important. Therefore, the one on one and circle time have been crucial moments in Anthony in helping him deal with his anger and enhance his self-confidence.
Although, Anthony is a native Spanish speaker, being in the immersion class allows him the ability to interact with non-native Spanish speakers. For instance, I’ve seen occasions where they ask each other “how do you say this in Spanish/English.” The class as a whole is unique and I enjoyed the time I’ve been there to help. I appreciate the teachers enthusiasm and her deep involvement as well as her interactions with her students. It’s noticeable that she cares about their education and as a
