One of the most known artist of music was Marian Anderson a African American artist that helped focus public attention on racism. She was one of the first ever to perform in Lincoln Memorial with a amazing performance, after that she was known as a leader and an inspiration. Her closing words were ‘’I am overwhelmed. I can’t tell you what you have done for me today. I thank you from the bottom of my heart again and again.’’ -Anderson.
